Whew....Betances finally closed out the inning. Did anyone hear Michael Kay's "call" of Betances' inning ending K with loaded bases? He hesitated ...then matter of factly in his monotone...."he.....got him" To this point- that was the biggest most important K by a Yankee pitcher in the latest most important game and this dickhead sounded as if he was actually depressed and dissapointed. He's fuking terrible, ....AND boring! And when he does try and display some excitement, he goes into that high pitched scratchy sounding voice....HE'S HORRIBLE! And the worst part is we're going to be stuck with him for years and years.
Well. It took this organization long enough, but I think the Yankee fans have a view of what the future will bring. Anybody on board to get Cespedes in a Yankee uniform?
I think he will get overpaid but in just speaking about it I would take him over Gardner in left for sure.
Yeah that's why I mentioned he ruined the call. I have no idea what he was doing there. Maybe too busy staring at Paul O'neill's hair.
I hope Manny Machado didn't have a breakdown after the game ended. Bird & Sevey, two good additions to this team. Heard Sevey in an interview say how proud he was to help this team. Just what the Yankees need, another set of gamers who are proud to be Yankees.
^^^^ this. This team has a huge need for players exhibit YANKEE PRIDE. There are many players on this team, I feel, have no sense of Yankee pride.
just keep winning, arod is got his grove back, pitchers keepin it close, pen doing their jobs....betances i know is strugglin, but not worried... long season, these guys want to get it on .. go yanks
Posted at 7:48 EDT... Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) will be shut down for the next 2 weeks as per Jon Morosi.
Vic you can read the article at pinstripealley.com. I just found it and it doesn't sound good at all.
Yup, because you have to look at the reality of the situation. Two weeks puts us at September 21st. Then they will have to evaluate which leads me to believe there's a good chance he's done for the season. I'm going to post something on the main page since some folks might not check here.
I guess we know why Capuano was brought back. Is Cashman trying to tell us there isn't a better choice/chance on the farm than a 36 year old soft tosser with a 2015 ERA of 7.79 and a WHIP of 1.82? Capuano is a walking land mine. I'm half serious when I say if I were a SP at AAA and AA with decent numbers I would ask to be traded out of the organization.
