http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...g_a_strong.html <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Doc Rivers decided to make a dramatic lineup change for tonight?s game against Denver, inserting Delonte West as the starting point guard in place of Sebastian Telfair. Rivers believes West will perform better at both ends, though he sounded particularly dissatisfied with Telfair?s defensive effort recently.</div> I have to agree that Delonte is better defensively. Maybe this will be that confidence booster that will bring Delonte back to where he was last year: consistant, reliable, fan favorite, 3rd best player on the team (although, he may be 4th with the way Big Al has been playing). This will be interesting to see, and it will also be interesting to see how Bassy does with the 2nd unit. When we are healthy and Wally/Gerald are on the wings off the bench with Bassy, that could be nice. We'll see how this works out. So far this season it has just seemed like Delonte hasn't fit with this team anymore, but hopefully this works out for the better of both Delonte and Bassy.
Its about time. I really like this guy. Seems motivated to play D which is good, Bassy can have lapses. I cant wait to see his response to starting again!
Well I was hoping we were moving him, as we have a surplus of point guards, so I don't know what to think. Seems like Rondo's out of the picture these days.
Doc is a cock. Your right you guys should shift someone! But Delonte was really good last year, Rondo is an unknown, to a degree, gotta go with what you know sometimes I guess.
I would bet money that Delonte will not play tonight in LA, and I would be surprised if he played the rest of the week. Maybe, if we get lucky, he can play at the end of this road trip, but I doubt it. I feel bad for Delonte, I mean the day he finally wins his starting job back (and has an excellent first half), he goes down and hurts his back again.
