Jason Kidd comes to mind when I write this topic. He may ave an off night every once in a while, but what he has stayed a very consistent player since turning 30 (which is when many guards start to make their decline). It's guys like him that make me think that A.I. has at least four more years left in the tank.Bruce Bowen also. He also has been a defensive specialist over the years. he usually draws the toughest assingment every night, and when you're covering some of the best players in the world, you need some good footwork. He performs at a very hight level for anybody, not just fo a 35-year old NBA player. It's hard to back up this argument with stats, but if you see him play you'll agree with me on this one.C'mon bball-world, I need some more "ageless" guys.
How about Sam Cassell? This guy has got to be like 37 now...He's still a very good pg. He's smart, he's a pretty good set up man, and he is an excellent overall shooter..

And he's a winner, he's a guy you want on your team..
lol reggie miller is so ageless hes like the best player of all time he played till he was old and carried pacers to so many championships and good playoffs and hit so many clutch shots and never missed in the clutch lol
How about Steve Nash? If anything, he's got better after 30. He averages more points and assists than he did early on in his career and of course is a back to back MVP. John Stockton also played at a good level throughout his entire career. Retired at 40 and was still a starter on a playoff team and averaged 10 and 7 in about 25-30 minutes. Those are pretty good numbers for a 40 year old in this league. Most players never make it that far and if they do, they are near the end of the bench. I just wish Stockton would become a coach somewhere so he could teach the game he knows so well.
Reggie MillerJohn HavelichicDikembe Mutombo - as long as he can block shots and wave his finger, he's fineDarrel ArmstongGreg Oden will beKareem Abdul-Jabar Alonzo Mourning - see Dikembe, plus he went through a kidney transplant and is still playing wellOscar Robertson - was so smartLarry Bird - well he could never jump in the first place...
Gary Payton. I know he doesn't have the lock down D anymore. But the man can still play. Still has the same old sawgger.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pacers fan forever @ Dec 26 2006, 08:16 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Greg Oden will be</div>Okay, you're not allowed to say a player is ageless when they're not even halfway through their freshman year in college. For all we know Oden could break his leg and never be the player he's supposed to, he might get to the league and just digress, he might start breaking down very early in his career. You can't label him yet as an NBA player because he isn't an NBA player.
Kobe Bryant in the future. I just can't see him having a season under 20ppg. Im thinking he will be like Jordan putting up 20+ppg until he retires.Allen Iverson. He is at the age of 30 and is still not slowing down. He is still one of the quickest players in the game and a top 5 scorer. He is amazing.

Grant Hill comes to mind, He's 36 almost 37 years old and he still puts up great numbers each night. I can only imagine how well he would be playing right now had he been healthy the last 6 years of his career.Come back Kevin Willis!
I gotta give it to Steve Nash. He's in his 30's and he is only getting better with age. Running up and down the court and even playing through injury in last year's playoffs. Signs of ageing? Nope, I don't think so. In terms of being ageless, I've got to say AI and Jkidd are on my list aswell.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Greg Oden will be</div>This is true. I refuse to believe the man is any younger than 50.
