We will have troubles on offense AND count on Refs AND opponents to disrespect us/think that we're an easy win BUT... OUR guys know all this; consider/remember, what a player w/ a chip on his shoulder can do, just think what an entire team w/ chipS on their shoulderS can accomplish? Teams will win against us BUT an opponent better show that they want to win otherwise... that win(s) is ours!:smiley-violence:

This team really is going to have a problem defending at the guard spot, especially with CJ and Lillard on the floor together. However, I think they are solid on defense with Henderson and Aminu on the wings, and Davis and Plumlee can be plus defenders. Plus, this should be a good rebounding team and deep at the 4 and 5, so there are fouls to waste, guys can make an effort on defense.

On offense, I just don't know where the points come from, especially if it takes Vonleh a while to develop.

Why do people continue to think CJ is a bad defender?

Defense, but honestly I don't care. I just want Dame to be out of that 3-point what-used-to-be-ice-in-veins shooting slump he was after he donned his new shoes.

It's a matter of coaching. You can win a lot of games with athletic players who are willing to work hard at defense. Look at the Bucks, who don't have anyone as good as Lillard.

If Stotts doesn't get the guys playing defense hard, then I can see the games turning into something like the all-star games. Lots of shooting and offense, but no defense at all.

Opposing teams may not play defense 100% of the time if they can jump out to a lead and coast.

Vonleh will develop faster than expected but to reach his full potential will take appox. as long as ppl think; I've np w/ this, it's gonna be fun/exciting to see Vonleh & crew grow individually & grow together!:bwpopcorn:

Maybe I am being prejudiced, but he is small for his position and he doesn't have a lot of experience and I don't think of him as super athletic. Those three things usually hold someone back defensively, even if they have all the heart in the world.

If he was more experienced, I might believe he could find ways to overcome his drawbacks.

Maybe I'm wrong about him. I'd love to be.

He works hard on defense and has shown improvement but even he admits he's out of position too often. Room for improvement but I like his work ethic. CJ has a high hoops IQ and is extremely coachable
