Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! T - 1.5 Hours. My parents are hooked to the tv watching this right now - they have an arabic satellite tv connection and it has this sh*t in real time.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! Looks like it has been done. I was watching on the news that the guys guarding Saddam were saying he's not really a bad guy to talk to. He had conversations with them all the time that had good morales. He kept telling them to get a good woman and treat her well.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! Yeah I personally don't think he's as bad as the pro-Republican media over here would have you believe, but whatever.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! All 'bad guys' are extremely smart, and seem to be extremely nice and friendly - but point is the guy is insane and has huge issues.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! There's plenty of people out there who are a lot worse than he is though

Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! I think he deserved what he got. He killed so many of his own people, I just dont understand why like people in Iraq were like fighting to get him back into office? American forces in Iraq are now on high alert because of the hanging of sadaam. You guys think anything drastic will happen in America? Like terrorism or anything?

Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! Honestly, I feel bad for the guy. I never want to see anyone killed.and another thing - If I were an Iraqi citizen, Iwould want Saddam back in office. With George Bush leading this whole war - he's made conditions 100x worse than when Saddam was in control. Imagine living in Iraq - it's complete hell over there.

Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! Also - Saddam's death to me is a little less, for lack of a better word, 'satisfying' because the person who's in charge of this whole situation is 100x worse in my opinion. If the Iraqis had done this themselves it would have been better.

He made some dumb choices in taking his religious group over his political beliefs. The divisions in the religion of Islam really wrecked a great leader into shambles and eventually death.

Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! Thus far Iraq hasn't been profitable. Gas prices have escalated, which is really the only benefit for invading. I don't think us invading Iraq has saved anyone any money.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! R.I.HI was flipping though the tv and caught a little glimps of the Saddam deal on one of the news channels about 7:30 central, I watched it about for 2 hours(A record) I hate nowadays for every f*cking thing that happens the news has to relate it to how this effects the democrats, bugs the sh*t and pee out of me

We would need to supervise and make sure he isn't killing people but he kept the Iraqi people in line.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! This is just my perspective on Iraq. The US went in prematurely. We had no idea what to expect in the violence that is happening now. We did no research into the amount and level at which the Iraqi missile program was at. Now, the US has basically screwed themselves. If we had never invaded Iraq, I have no doubt we would be in Korea now. Iraq never tested a missile, never even paraded it around. Korea tests, 3 times, 6 missiles per time, and we can't do anything.Saddam wasn't that bad. His political party and his religious affiliations basiically screwed him over. They got him into office, and he was obliged to do their wishes like killing Kurds and Shiites.
Re: Saddam to die 30 days from now! Saddam Hussein wasn't only a killer - he actually was great for Iraq in a lot of ways. Before Saddam came to rule, Iraq was a mess. It's was kind of like what it is today. Shi'a's were against Sunni's, Arabs against Kurds, the peasents verses the nomads, the merchants were battling with the tribal chiefs - it was a mess. Saddam came in and took this issue and solved it. For a while - Iraq was running smoothly and unified. Saddam modernized Iraq - before this war, Iraq was a very good country and when Oil prices sky rocketed the Iraqi economy also sky-rocketed.Saddam made groups like the "National Compain for the Eradication of Illiteracy", "Compulsory Free Education in Iraq" and because of him there was free schooling for everyone on all levels of education. From elementary to your PhD. Hundreds of Thousands learned to read because of his programs. The government, because of Saddam supported families of soldiers, they gave them free medical care to everyone, and helped out farmers. At one time, Iraq had the most modern publich health system in the middle east!! and here's the hard part to beleive - Saddam was awarded The "United Nations Edcational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization" award. An award from the UN!Saddam was a good guy. :no1:
