If I wasn't still basking in the blood lust from banning The Realist you would be gone. For now I'll just assume you meant to call me dog in French.
Sorry to hear about him passing away. You were the one that brought him up with for telling the weather
He was a Dairy farmer and could read bird clusters and cloud formations or the way the herd gathered like most farmers can. I learned these things from him at a young age. He was a decorated WWII pilot trainer and mechanic and I respect his knowledge. He read the Farmers Almanac more than any publication
Sigh... It is not science, it's a hunch. I work with farmers all the time. I know their methods. You try selling that to a meteorologist and they would laugh
Ouch! I'm sorry for your loss, Mags! That has to hurt. You can call me a douche 2 more time if it makes you feel a little better.
Farming practices are far from hunches..they are demonstrable in most cases and there are many methods, same with hunting and fishing. Not everything is for sale and I've yet to see a meteorologist manage a productive dairy farm although there must be one. Dairy farmers don't get a lot of media coverage, especially while they're working.
My father was a farmer in South Dakota. I work with farmers all day long in my business. I've been to Iowa, Washington, Oregon, California, China, Malaysia and Alabama working with Dairy, pig, corn, soy, onion, potato and weed. It's not science to watch birds fly to tell you when it rains
It's knowledge..my father farmed the Missouri River Valley in Western Iowa, he and my mother were raised in orphanages in South Dakota as children.
