Is he going to be one of those great college players who's game just doesn't translate over to the professional game? Thats what I'm afraid of when I watch him play. I love his hustle, heart, leadership, and desire when he plays, but I just dont think he'll be all that great in the NBA. He's a bit undersized to play PF in the NBA, but doesn't have enough athleticism to play the 3. doesn't have a ton of upside, but would love for a team like the Mavs or the Spurs to draft him late in the 1st. Both teams could use a guy like him off the bench with his low post scoring and hustle. Thoughts?
IMO what you see with Tyler is what you get. I like him a lot, but unfortunately you're right, I think what you see right now is basically what teams will get, and he will be reduced to being a role player in the NBA, rather than the great player he is in college.

However, I don't think he will not have the same kind of success in the NBA. He's too skinny, he's not strong enough, and he doesn't have much of a ceiling (potential to get better). yankshater said it best: "What you see is what you get." I don't think he'll really get much better.
1. He's 2 years older than the people in his draft class 2. He's 6'8" and a average at best athlete 3. Doesn't have any upside I think he could be a good late first/early second pick, he's obviously a good player but people will be misled by him in thinking he will translate.
