Not sure why anyone would complain about this. No real risk involved. Good on face-offs. Bottom 6 guy who is a R shot.

The question to me is how does this roster setup? Too many dmen and too many forwards. Tops we carry 7 dmen and 13 forwards IMO, so even a minor move like flipping someone for a pick has to happen I think.

And Zucc is fine. Played in his game in Norway. Has been seen doing some other physical things as well.

I still think Sather is making the final calls on things. At least for this year. Next year I see Gorton putting his stamp on this team.

I don't mind the move. Everyone makes mistakes so hopefully he learned from his. It's a low risk move that could pay off. He has a lot to prove if he wants to further his career in this league.

It's a good move but he needs to contribute more than 6g 11a if he is the 3rd line Center. Also, yes he has been to 3 SCF and won 2 but he hasn't ever really put up huge playoff numbers... He's basically here for faceoffs, penalty-killing, experience, maybe leadership

just a depth move ...you start to worry that it doesn't bold well for a Lindberg or anyone else in Hartford when guys like Stroll and Malone are brought in

Staal turns it over, but it's picked up by Stalberg, and the Rangers attempt to Stoll with a one goal lead in the 2nd period remains puzzling.

This organization has a pension to bring in "has beens &
never beens" to fill roster spots......one thing for sure,
this team will not win as many games as last year.
But who knows, the playoffs should be promising.

Yeah. I don't get it. I mean, the morons should look at the success they had by playing 3 rookies in Hayes, Miller and Fast. So what do they do? They do everything they can to screw over a talented kid in Lindberg who can win draws and a physical defenseman who is right handed in McIlrath.

OR...maybe if those kids prove they deserve a spot, just like Hayes, Miller, and Fast did, they will get their chance. BUT we add vets like Stoll to cover ourselves in case they cannot get it done.

I know that is the crazy line of thinking though as they spit in McIlrath's face (even though he has never shown a darn thing yet he is the savior) and they said FU to Lindberg.

Sad part is if Glass wasn't here we win the cup last season. And if they get rid of Glass now, we'll win the cup this upcoming season. They need to wake up on Glass.

Must be close to hockey season as the craziness and bit*hing is starting already...LOL.

I dont think Stoll will be 3C, the more I think about it the more I see him as the Brian Boyle, 4th line C/W hybrid who will take some draws and kill penalties. And its very possible that the front office doesnt see Lindberg in that type of role, but in a more offensive, top 9 role. I had been putting him on 4th line wing in my lines because there's really no other spot for him, but I'm not sure if that's the best for his game and development. So the Stoll move could have zero impact on Lindberg.

So now the question becomes do you move Hayes to wing and give Lindberg a shot at 3C, even though Hayes had 45 points as a rookie playing the middle.

Going to be an interesting camp.

If you're a moron with limited hockey knowledge you would think McIlrath has never shown anything. However, somebody with a brain who understands the sport would know that McIlrath's second camp was a ton better than his first. He's showed in the pre-season that unlike our candy ass defenseman, he knows how to throw a body check, stick up for his teammates and clear the crease.

McIlrath has not shown anything at the NHL level yet. That doesn't mean he won't have a great camp and earn a spot, I hope he does, it simply means right now he hasn't shown anything for the Rangers to just hand him a spot. That's reality whether you want to accept it or not.

I also think Lindberg is better suited for a 3rd line role than a 4th line role. He will be up with the big club, so hopefully he can earn playing time.

Chuck.........."Sad part is if Glass wasn't here we win the cup
last season." NOT TRUE. Look, I've disliked this guy all year,
but he is not the reason we did not win the cup last year.
He may have contributed to not achieving that goal( winning
the cup) but a whole lot of factors occurred: injuries to three
of our defense men, MSL was a non factor as was Nash.
Break downs at both ends of ice.
AV's allegiance to Glass is self defeating for the team.
