O's get 70 Yanks get Karma. How can TB let them score 4 in the 9th with two outs. Gonzalez had a no hitter until the 8th.

Mind boggling to say the least. I didn't see that one coming, out of Sabathia, then the rally monkey escaped......

Amazing for any team to come back in the top of the 9th in the Trop Sauna, or (MLB's bad experiment).....

Every game I see the Yanx play in the Trop; I immediately think, why is this stadium NOT a Water Polo World Cup Park.....

+> Exactly...It really deserves a cameo in the next Miami Vice movie. All that $$ for 2500 fans a game. Well, revenue sharing saved TB, Pittsburgh & Minnesota. People must go there to score chics or simulate Don Johnson.
BTW... My son and I are going to Ft. Lauderdale for the Miami game in December when my Ravens play the Dolphins. I got great seats at the 35 yard line 15 rows up from the field. My brother in law turned him on to Dan Marino and he has been a Dolphin fan since. There are three parameters to every Dolphins fan. I have found this out by sitting with his kooky Dolphin friends when we played them in 014. They all say they will lose at the end. They hate the coach and they can't stand a decent game from their QB. I suppose the standard from the Marino days has afflicted these fans. Poor souls. Empty hearts and bleak outlooks.
I hope my O's sweep the Red Sox. I anticipate a Ravens win against Oakland simply based on the fact they are pissed Flacco had a nightmare game and dog Suggs is out for the year. (Suggs does look like a bulldog)
That huge fire in Middleton Ca. is insane. 400 hundred homes and families devastated. The way to end the drought is American ingenuity and a Congressional boost. Divert all foreign aid money to sustain our own citizens in the most important agricultural State in the country. Do you have theories on how to solve the drought???

1- Did your Bro-In-Law tell Your Son, how Bill Walsh, Joe Cool and Co. beat the teal off of the Dolphins, Marino, Shula and Co....?:devilwink:
It's great to hear your taking your Son on a road trip, to His Stadium to see His Club play at home. Equivalent to going to YS.......
(You sound like your a great Dad, and much like myself, ie, My Hero Is My Son)....

2- I hope the O's pound the Bosox into oblivion as well, I only wonder what is going thru Buck's head. Yep, without Suggs, the Defensive Field General's exceptional play will be missed, ....

3- These Fires every year, a result of no rain, well a few inches in a few years, in 45 yrs I've lived in So. Cal. 1979 was Caly's worst year. In August of that year, I left here to drive to ASU/Phoenix-Tempe, to see a buddy, while the entire San Gabriel Mt. Range was burning, at the CREST level, for a good approximate 70 miles. A scene out of Dante's Inferno.
I've never seen a drought like this one.....last week, I was stunned to hear and see 170,000 evacuated in Japan due to Typhoon Floods.......

4- Yep, I've been screaming: "De-Salinization Plants" for Decades. Had Caly of began doing such in the 70s, we'd not have these probs we have today.......think about it, there's no drinking water in Space, only what they can bring, make by utilizing a Oxygen-Hydrogen Water system, that kept breaking down. So they turned to Reclamation and Purification of well Urine, even wet rags to wipe off sweat. Tho' water reclamation is a big program here in Caly, that water is NOT fit to drink, full of other poisons, just to enable crop irrigation, yet there's not enough water to reclaim......
The US Navy has been de-salinizing water since WWII..........

Matts...... Interesting info in 4. I see the ignorance of Cals water reserve as another fubar in a long debacle of Government leadership. Congress must have realized Cal. is an important region in almond, wine and fruit production. The devastating fires have adverse effects on the enviornment as well as peoples homes and livlihood.
My son took off from school when he was 16 to attend the 1996 Yankee Championship parade. As usual with teenagers, the parents are last to know.
Still loved him and was thankful he was OK.

This very area, the western Mojave Desert, used to:
1- Lead Southern Cal, (any area south of Bakersfield to the MX Border) in:
    - Alfalfa Production
    - Almonds
    - Apples (Tehachapi)
    - Barley, (the largest single producer of Barley for So. Cal - Anaheuser's Busch Plant in L.A.)
    - Onions
    - Tyson Chicken Ranches galore, (disgusting filthy barns)

There is no longer any fields or Orchards for Almonds, this area: once the #1 supplier to Blue Diamond brand Almonds.

Apples, an Infestation of air borne parasites, killed every Apple Orchard. Yet, they've been trying to make a comeback, feebly.

Barley, Budweiser or A. Busch, gave up on the high prices of Water for growing Barley here, and they too are gone.

hell, everything is gone, as noted above, Chicken's thank god they are gone, as there is nothing more disgusting than most Chicken Barns. Poorly kept Chicken Barns, smelled worse by far than those sour Pig Farms. Water has finally become too costly for Farmers in Caly. Those who have deep wells, still some survived, but not enough to put a dent in any economy.
