Van Zant just signed a new deal with the UFC. They are building her up slowly. She has the look and she fights hard-- easy to see what they see in her. The match-up with Calderwood makes a lot of sense. JoJo hasn't lived up to expectations in the UFC so far after a solid run on TUF. PVZ's high-pressure high-pace style should make her the favourite in this one but I'm still glad to see Calderwood getting more exposure. Randa Markos had been campaigning for a fight with PVZ (or anyone, for that matter).
The card itself is pretty meh... Yeah Calderwood looked like she would be strong right from the get go after her run on TUF. I think I read she's had some personal issues that has affected her training/performance. Hopefully she can turn it around because I really liked her on TUF.
