...racism is a type of bias...there will always be bias in one form or another....and it is not going away anytime soon, if ever. And one of the biggest problems is the fact that it's brought up all the time, whether it has merit or not...and most of the time I don't believe it does.

...people can talk about it, they can preach about it, they can write about, they can try to legislate it, they can frown on it, etc., but it won't change the way things are.

...people can claim they're not racist, they can put their hand on a bible and swear they're not racist, they may even subconsciously believe they're not racist...but in their heart of hearts, deep down inside, most people are racist, no matter how much they may say otherwise.

I'm in full agreement Ron but in this case is was CLEARLY not about race for several reasons, #1 he was arrested because some eye witness pointed him out saying, "HIM! that's the guy". proved that it was a case of mistaken idenity as he resembled the guy they were actually after. And #2 James Blake is lighter than many white people I know. And #3 as I mentioned even Blake himself said it wasn't about race.

The media fans the flames in case like this, the very day the story broke the newspapers were quick to put the labels on the people involved. "The officer who is WHITE tackled Blake who is BLACK" etc etc.

I'm just getting so sick over all this shit. Wake the fuck up people, its not ALWAYS about race.

...I understand...I was just making a general observation about my feelings on racism.

There is a much deeper issue that people ignore. We have evolved to identified differences and to instinctually classified them. Social constructs and Law in opposition to nature will always lead to conflict. Nature has the benefit of time, society does not. Eventually the balance shifts and order is restored. Racial perspectives are instinctual.

Don't blame me....blame your ancestors for being dfumb fucks.

...yup, and like I said, part of the problem with addressing racism is because it's talked about incessantly, and perpetuated mostly by the media...a lot of the news, which they alone decide what it newsworthy and what is not, may not even be a racial issue but often times they try awfully hard to spin it into one....and most of what the media spoon feeds us is garbage anyway, racial or otherwise.

Ok, it isn't about race, but let's talk racial tensions. You know I got the shit beat out of me inside a McDonald's by 4 black thugs, 3 wearing brass knuckles.

I was Hit numerous times in the head, (back in April), with a deadly weapon, and I never once went down, not after 5 minutes of being pummeled on from all 4 sides. The Cops arrived quickly, and those fks fled, this was in the middle of the Baltimore riots in mid-april..........

I had a broken nose for the 5th time (and look like Jimmy Durante), a nasty Concussion, that lasted a couple of days, had one eye swollen shut, and could barely open my mouth for a month, a fractured jaw bone, (not enough to work on)......

It was apparent, no question at all, this incident, WAS a racial fiasco, spawned by TV Coverage, of epic bullshit proportions. 2 guys now sit in Jail, the other 2 not to be found....
    _______________________________________

    flash forward-

My Wife, Kim met this very kind (older than me) woman, who lives but a 1/2 mile away. Both befriended each other, way back when we moved in March. Kim and I, think the world of this black lady, and would do damn near anything in the world for her, within reason. This woman's name, for clarity is Miss Lilly........(Ironic, since we have our own Miss Lillie). Miss Lilly is always bringing me over Southern Comfort food, greens, black eyed peas, okra, Peach Cobbler, a real treat; a great woman after my own heart, via the belly route......

Lilly's Mom, 88 yrs. old, living in Compton all her life; less her first 22 yrs, (when she lived in Mississippi). Seeing all the 60s riots, Watts, Chicago, Memphis, Indianapolis, as well as all the other racial bullshit, she's seen in her lifetime, has hardened Lilly's Mom. To a point, Lilly called Kim yesterday, asking her to come over; which she did.

Lilly and Her Mom, were at odds over racial affairs. Lilly's Mom, had said: "I don't care if a White Man opens the door for me, I will not walk thru those doors or accept such from any white man". Lilly is as un-biased at they come, and was pissed off, and hurt by her Mom's comments, while several others (all blacks) at Her house, were stoking the flames of racial hatred. So, Kim arrives, and Lilly says, "how about this White Angel, do you hate her too?" Of which Her Mom said, "no we love Kim."
Kim replied back: "My Husband opens doors for anyone, especially black folks, and they always say Thank You".......

Like figuring out a mega mathematical formula, a light went off in Lilly's Mom's head, and Her Mom said, "oh Lord, I have denied our Lord, and am not walking in Christs shoes, shame on me"......

    end of story ~

"kick 'em when their up, kick 'em when their down"

On Don Henley: 1989 - Don's album "End of the Innocence" up for a grammy vs Bonnie Raitt's "Nick of Time".

both LP's were excellent, yet I thought Henley's Lp was a better LP tune by tune and overall. Raitt's LP was worthy of the Grammy she won, over Henley's...tho' I still listen to both LP's, I have never got over My belief, that Don, IMHO; should've won that Grammy.......

59, Who were you pulling for during the 89 Grammy Awards...? Just curious, both were worthy, and I thought at the least, the Grammy Voters, should of done as much, what's your take.....?

Can't say I have that itch, but thanks.

For millenia humans evolved...uggg strange man, look different than my tribe. Can't trust, don't know intent....

A concept so validated because those that went against that grain likely were killed and those genes did not propagate. Fast forward to today...take the dog for a walk. Pass a black kid with a hoodie....kid is afraid of dog and dog growls. Dog never growls at people...what did my instincts learn? Black kids in hoodies that fear dobermans are likely not to be trusted.

"For what its worth" You know its amazing how many people thought that song was an anti-war protest song when actually it was about the 1966 sunset strip riots.
