It may be a broken record, but Cashman should not survive this. If he does, we have the answer about the Boys!
I was at the game, which wasnt a bad game till the end. The difference is the Mets capitalized on their chances while the yankees squandered theirs. that simple. it doesnt help that the two more offensive players are out, but thats just part of the greatness of baseball, you adapt. This team needs a kick in the balls only George could deliver....and thats not happening these days.
People had their doubts about this club all along and most of those fears have been or are starting to be realized. I'd love to see a two week hot streak to end the season but this looks like a team that's more holding it together than a team that will be going on a major run.
Yep, you reached your goal, and the rest is just that... I smell a losing streak, on this road trip. I said 86, and I was being optimistic. With 16 games to go, the future looks bleek, with my prediction, they'd go into a tail spin about right last night, and would go 6-10...... If they can split 2 of 4 with both the Pale Hose and Bosox in YS, then win 2 of 3 from the O's, in Camden, which I don't think they can take 2 of 3 in Camden, then I'd hit my mark. I don't think the Yanx are gonna' win 1 game vs either the Mutts or Jays, if so, that's my bonus.....
Well hopefully they hang on for a play in game and then maybe we get a playoff series with the Royals out of this bunch.
Also at the game last night. What did I think? Yankees have some work to do. Gardner and Ellsbury need a lot of help. These two clowns have completely flatlined. How many times am I going to see Gardner stand at home plate with the bat glued to his shoulder taking a called third strike. Ellsbury is making too much money to not catch a fly ball. And what's with Headley? Twice up with the bases loaded and zilch. In short, Yankees sucked at crucial times; Mets unloaded with their opportunities. One thing I know......the concessions are much better at CitiField.
