his ERA bloats to .165, with a .857 Win Pctg. 18-3 Record...... Zack Greinke was the star of the game, pitching seven innings of one-run ball on 97 pitches. He allowed just four hits and two walks, and two of those baserunners came to lead off the eighth inning before he was removed. But that’s wasn’t why he was the star, no no. He also went 2-for-2 at the plate and 2-for-2 in bat flips. While Bumgarner got a hard luck loss, due to inept fielding, throwing, and a lack of hitting at the crucial moments. 18-8 record. De Aza really screwed the pooch on His error. The pesky D'Backs, are 10-7 vs SF, and 4-11 vs LAD....... or as this am's news stated: Bumgarner was his usual dominant self, but received little help from his offense. The left-hander followed up a near-perfect outing by hurling eight innings. He gave up five hits, three walks and two runs (one earned) to go along with seven strikeouts. here are the last five pitchers to hit at least five home runs in a season: Bumgarner, 2015 (5 homers and counting) Zambrano, 2006 (6) Brooks Kieschnick, 2003 Brewers (7) Mike Hampton, 2001 Rockies (7) Bob Gibson, 1972 Cardinals (5) Hell with it, I'm going with Greinke for the Cy Young, over Arieta, and Mad-Bum. Both Win Pctg, Era, It wouldn't bother me to see all 3 SP's share a Cy Young. Like W.S. MVP's of past, I see no reason why an award can't be shared???? Both Mad Bum and Greinke deserve Silver Sluggers, Gold Glove to Greinke tho'...........
I agree that it will come down to one of those two (Arrieta / Greinke) & I think its going to be very close.
