I'm not sure I can see that in your graph. Looks pretty flat to me. -50 at the end of 01, and -50 at the end of 04.

Well, she wasn't the CEO, that was someone else. She was in senior management, yes.

And then she helped drive Lucent into the ground before bailing out for HP.

And deservedly so. Bell Labs and HP probably didn't deserve to die, though.

Denny, if you are planning to be a Carly fan-boy, this next few months will be fun. For me.

Fiorina: I am satisfied with the debate, 9/17/15, 8:00 AM ET
Fiorina defends citing nonexistent abortion video
    09/17/15 07:13 PM—UPDATED 09/17/15 10:45 PM

    By Irin Carmon
At Wednesday’s second Republican debate, Carly Fiorina described a secretly recorded video from an anti-abortion group, part of a series that includes Planned Parenthood executives, as showing “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, ‘We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.’” She challenged Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama to watch the tapes for themselves.

One problem: No such video exists.

What does exist is a video interview of a former employee of StemExpress, a tissue procurement agency like the fictitious group represented by the anti-abortion activists behind the video. In it, she claims she saw a fetus with a heartbeat, and says her supervisor planned to procure the fetus’s brain for medical research. The video also includes unrelated stock footage of a fetus outside the womb that purports to be from an abortion, although the Center for Medical Progress, the group behind the videos, was also caught using, without attribution or permission, a photo from a woman’s stillbirth as if it showed an aborted fetus. No one in the videos has even alleged that a fetus was kept alive to harvest a brain, nor is there footage of it.

RELATED: Will Hewlett-Packard’s past ties to Iran haunt Carly Fiorina?

On Wednesday night, this was pointed out by numerous sources, including The Washington Post’s fact checker, who wrote, “No video has surfaced showing the scene Fiorina describes taking place inside a Planned Parenthood facility.” Politifact rated the statement “mostly false,” and a Vox reporter, Sarah Kliff, who watched all twelve hours of the footage, wrote, “What she says happens in the Planned Parenthood videos simply does not exist.” Planned Parenthood sent out a memo, headlined simply, “Carly Fiorina lied.”

Fiorina has refused to back away from the claim. “Rest assure, I have seen the images I talked about last night,” she told ABC News. “Rest assure, human lives are being harvested.”

In a statement provided to NBC News, Fiorina’s campaign didn’t directly address the fact that the images she described don’t exist. “Planned Parenthood wants to keep spending taxpayer dollars and hide the truth about their business,” the statement said. “Unfortunately for them, Americans can go watch these videos for themselves and are horrified. Carly dared President Obama and Hillary Clinton to watch them. We hope they will and we hope they will tell us how they can justify sending taxpayer dollars to an organization that traffics in babies’ organs.”

Planned Parenthood has said it participates in legal fetal tissue donation at a small number of clinics and is only reimbursed for expenses. A House vote to strip the organization of women’s health funding unless it stops performing abortions is scheduled for Friday.

Sep 02 was lower than when she was forced out.

    Nice work, though.

And no, I'm not a Fiorina supporter.

Given a choice between her and Trump, I supposed I'd pick her.

    http://www.siliconbeat.com/2015/08/27/tom-perkins-to-carly-fiorinas-rescue-what/

On Thursday, Tom Perkins, a former Hewlett-Packard board member who voted to fire Carly Fiorina from the company’s helm 10 years ago, came to her defense.

He paid for a full-page ad in the New York Times, defending her record and calling his vote to fire her “a mistake.”

That has many a head scratching.

In the Los Angeles Times, Michael Hiltzik recalls Fiorina’s own suspicions of Perkins’ trickiness. He was part of the cabal that ousted her. But he also came to her defense. His note to her post-HP said, “probably we will never agree on what happened at HP.” And then he praised Fiorina for moving the company forward.

At this point, Fiorina likely said, “Whatever, Tom.”

But 10 years later, Fiorina is seeking the GOP presidential nomination. She needs Perkins, as she points to her business experience as proof that she could be a better president than many career politicians she’s competing against.

Many have pointed out the downsides of one of her biggest decisions, HP’s merger with Compaq. Still, Therese Poletti over at MarketWatch notes that the company’s server business, which was part of the acquisition, has been a bright spot.

Perkins was responding to an article by Andrew Ross Sorkin of the New York Times criticizing Fiorina’s record at the firm.

Headlined “The Truth About Carly,” Perkins’ ad counters criticism of Fiorina’s tenure at HP, citing the firm’s growth in revenue and patent filings as part of her legacy:

Not only did she save the company from the dire straits it was in, she laid the foundation for HP’s future growth.

Her dismissal came, he said, because Fiorina questioned the status quo and the board was “ineffective and dysfunctional” with people who “fought for their own power or advancement.”

I have no question that Carly is a transformational leader who uniquely has both vision and the expertise to implement it. We are in the middle of a heated election, and often facts and the truth get lost in the heat of partisan rhetoric. As someone who worked with and observed Carly first hand I can attest to her abilities, intellect and talent. I am proud to support Carly Fiorina for President of the United States.

As for voting to fire Fiorina, Perkins writes:

While lesser leaders would have accepted offers of transition plans and graceful resignations, Carly would have none of that. Carly demanded to be fired. In order to restore peace to the board I voted to fire her. That was a mistake.

The Perkins ad comes as Fiorina is trying to break into the group of 10 candidates who will be invited by CNN to debate on September 16, as CNN reports.

Her camp argues that CNN’s criteria doesn’t take into account her momentum in national polls over the past month.

    RESPONSE TO:

    Andrew Ross Sorkin

“Carly Fiorina’s Business Record: Not So Sterling”

The consensus is clear: Carly Fiorina won the first Republican Primary debate. As a result she is climbing the polls and into the top tier of candidates. Her rise has led pundits to speculate about her tenure as CEO of Hewlett-Packard.

I was a member of the HP Board of Directors much of the time Carly was the CEO. I was in the room for many of the decisions she made. I can attest to the strength of Carly’s leadership, the accuracy of her vision and the quality of her management.

Carly was an excellent CEO. She led HP through one of the worst economic times in decades. Less than two years into Carly’s leadership, the dot com bubble went bust. Silicon Valley was in chaos. Companies were shedding jobs almost daily. There were so many layoffs The Associated Press ran weekly announcements regarding layoffs at tech companies. And The San Francisco Chronicle declared 2001 “The Year of the Layoff.”

While other Silicon Valley icons like Sun Microsystems disappeared, Carly’s vision and execution not only helped to save HP but made it a strong, more versatile company that could compete in the changing technology sector.

I was on the Compaq Board during the HP-Compaq merger and remained a member of the new HP Board once the merger was complete. Both companies knew that we needed something dramatic to inject life back into our companies. The merger, while controversial, was unanimously approved by every member of the HP Board and won approval from shareholders. Thanks to Carly’s leadership there was a path forward for this storied but troubled company.

Critics questioned the move, but history proves Carly was right. Post merger, HP became the biggest computer company in the world. It positioned HP to compete in integrated systems and allowed us to compete in sectors beyond the core strength of the company, printers.

Carly was hired at HP because it was struggling. Revenues were down, quarterly earnings were missed, innovation lagged and growth stagnated. HP, once the leader in Silicon Valley, was clinging to the status quo and failing to embrace the new tech era. Silicon Valley companies were prospering by taking advantage of the new technologies; HP was stubbornly clinging to the past. HP needed a change agent and someone who could return the company to its glory days. Carly was the right choice.

The results of Carly’s transformational leadership? HP revenues doubled to more than $80 billion, innovation tripled to 15 patents per day, the growth rate more than quadrupled 6.5 percent and we grew to become the 11th largest company in the country. Carly did what she was brought in to do: turn the company around make it successful again. Not only did she save the company from the dire straits it was in, she laid the foundation for HP’s future growth.

Critics often claim was fired at HP because she was unsuccessful. As a member of the board, I can tell you this is not true. In truth, it was the Board I was a part of that was ineffective and dysfunctional. The HP board of directors included family members of the founders. Carly worked with the hand she was dealt as best as one could. While Carly fought to save the company and the employees within, some board members fought for their own power or advancement. You see, some board members wanted to micro-manage the company, hand picking friends and allies to run divisions. This is no way to run a global company and Carly had the strength of character and courage of conviction to stand up to it and ultimately she lost her job because of it.

While lesser leaders would have accepted offers of transition plans and graceful resignations, Carly would have none of that. Carly demanded to be fired. In order to restore peace to the board I voted to fire her. That was a mistake.

In the months and years after Carly left, the Board of Directors remained dysfunctional. The Board members who plotted Carly’s ouster eventually resigned after an embarrassing investigation by Congress.

FIORINA FIASCO: FAILS TO REGISTER CAMPAIGN SITE, HIGHLIGHTS HP BLUNDERS
    [IMG]

Carly Fiorina is running her campaign as poorly as she did HP, failing to register her campaign website, causing hacktivists and other anti-Fiorina elements who used to work for her at HP to get very angry and transform the website into a viral hitpiece against her.

Howard Stern brought this up on his morning show this morning, and people are in stitches laughing. The website showcases how many people Fiorina laid off. That number is 30,000, while she lined her pockets and bought yachts jets etc.

Donald Trump Blasts NBC During Live 'Today' Show Interview
    [IMG]

Donald Trump put NBC’s “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie on the defensive Monday during a live telephone interview when he called the network out for promoting a CNN poll over an NBC poll because the billionaire had a smaller margin in the CNN survey.

The exchange occurs at minute 4:36 of the 5:35-minute interview.

“The only poll you didn't put up was the NBC poll where I'm way at the top, I’m much more than double,” said Trump. “I don't understand why NBC is using a CNN poll, which was also a good poll, I'm leading by a lot.

    article continues below advertisement

“Why aren't you talking about your own poll? Why are you showing a CNN poll, which is very good, but not as good as the one you put up yesterday?”

Guthrie acknowledged that “I should have mentioned the NBC poll by name.”

    Trump didn’t let it go.

“You put up the CNN poll, you didn't put up NBC poll and you’re the ones that are paying for the NBC poll so I don't get it other than in the NBC poll is a very good poll for Trump.”

The CNN poll, conducted in the days after the second Republican debate, found that Trump continues to lead the pack of GOP presidential candidates, but that he dropped eight points, going from 32 percent support to 24 percent.

In that same poll, Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina jumped from 3 percent to 15 percent.

In the NBC poll, Trump’s margin over Fiorina was much larger (29 percent to Fiorina’s 11 percent) and the billionaire gained 7 points from a month earlier when that poll showed him with 22 percent support of Republicans and independents.

Nearly a third of Republican voters in that poll said they expected Trump to be the Republican nominee.

It's pretty humorous that all the media, most in the GOP and all in the DNC are against trump and they can't do shit to his support. It must be frustrating to no end.
