Didn't see anyone else doing this: Stotts is on the first segement. Says Plumlee is one of the most athletic players at his position in the league, and is going to be the best passing big man we've had in awhile. Doesn't plan to change our offense or defense much. Check out some of these highlights...Plumlee can really handle the ball.
I'm just really stoked about Meyers and Plumlee then Davis and Vonleh with Kaman sprinkled in..I think we have solid bigs to rotate..going to tire out some older teams to defend the Blazers this season
Mike Barrett, talking to Noah Vonleh about his muscles. Noah is 250 now. See's himself as a face up PF. Mike Barrett asked Noah if he could lick honey off of his biceps.
Good to hear that Plumlee is a decent passer. Passing has been a weakness the last few years. I don't think Robin was too bad for a center, but if we can improve at every position it would be a plus. Although I doubt our SF's will be better passers than Nic, we could still have less turnovers from that position if they just simply don't try to force as many passes.
The main question is if he can put his insane length and muscle to proper use by learning the moves. He certainly has the physical tools to be outstanding. Funny that his potential skill set could be similar to LMA in his prime. Vonleh seems very capable of 10+ rebounds, but seems to have a better handle and 3pt-shot than LMA. If he can be motivated to balance his game with some clever post moves he could be very good. I just hope he doesn't fall in love with his jumper and take the easy way out.
He'll develop some good not only post moves but others too. He won't fall in love w/ his jumper (@ least nowhere near as much as u know who used to); Vonleh's got finesse to his game but he's definitely physical too & a million x's more physical vs LMA.
