What is the problem? Times are changing. The CEO is using the same verbal hammer technique that Trump is making popular.
No problem unless you need the pill to live. At least they plan to use the proceeds to more research.
See... I have a HUGE problem with this. My ex Wife has Wilson's disease. It's a disease where you are born without the chromosome that tells your liver to filter out copper (1/120K people have this disease). Because of this she has Cirrhosis over 35% of her liver. She has to take a drug called Syprine to remove the copper that accumulates in her body or she will die. The drug used to be $500 per month (astronomical for a middle class family) then it shot up to $16.87 per pill. She has to take 4 pills a day. That's $2024 per month!! :MARIS61: Conversely, the SAME drug in Canada is $66 per month... FUCK big Pharma! After you've gotten your $16 fucking dollars, why the HELL do you need that extra 87 cents???
So I'm curious, is the pill in Canada ACTUALLY $66 a month or is the rest just subsidized by the government?
Canada is smart. They do what we don't. They are able to negotiate drug prices with their single payer plan. My son's $137.87 (WTF is that friggin 87 cents for all the time??) Inhaler is $3.50.
Senator Byron Dorgan submitted an amendment to the ACA that allowed us to import drugs from Canada. It was shot down. Now, it wouldn't really allow the importation of drugs, it would force big Pharma to reprice all of their drugs. Fucking Dems and Punk ass Ron Wyden (After Medicare part D and this vote that MF will NEVER get my vote again) and the Republicans voted it down. EDIT: WAIT... Wyden and Merkley both voted YES.

So apparently this guys is an evil genius but ironically his greed play will be what forces change in the industry. Lol, pulled this off reddit comments, it was all part of his plan....... most likely.
