The article doesn't seem to mention Obamacare. So not sure whether you understood the article?

    Oh yeah I forgot...

"The Washington Post's Paul Waldmanbacked up Sanders on some of his criticism. As Waldman pointed out, the US currently spends about $3 trillion a year — and will spend close to $42 trillion over the next decade — on healthcare. He argued that Sanders' proposal wouldn't add on to that total, but rather reallocate the way the US spends money on healthcare."

Bernie wants Americans that spend their money on healthcare to be taxed. That will add to our taxes bro.

So Bernie's response is "hey you are wrong! It's not spending more because we can justify taxing those that spent money on healthcare to cover this!" Logic

I don't think you are understanding the proposal.

Bernie wants a single-payer system. So instead of paying the insurance company, you'd pay that money in tax instead. Yes, it would add to your tax. It would also reduce the money that you spend that isn't tax.

So in other words, the statement by wallstreet is accurate. 18 trillion in taxes for the next 10 years.

Weird that @dviss1 said bullshit. Seems like his own link supported WSJ

She is in no trouble at all. It's just another Republican fake Clinton "scandal" based on some trivial paperwork shuffle, like all Clinton "scandals."

    Poor barfo.

Right now if you get employer paid health care, you don't pay tax on it.

If you want to lower the cost of health care and insurance, get government out of it.

Republican plan that has afforded me and my son healthcare when we couldn't afford it previously. Single Payer is obviously a better plan.

Not true at all. Before, when the insurance companies were in control they wanted to charge my family $785 per month. I simply couldn't afford it. Single payer cuts what we pay currently almost in half.

It's not accurate. It's not in addition to our current spending.

Well as long as you are benefiting from it. Who gives a fuck on the millions of other Americans that were negatively effected by it

    Wrong!!!!!

Bernie's exact words in summary is "America spends 3 trillion a year on private health care coverage. I think you are too stupid to pick your own, so we will pick your health care and tax you an additional 2.2 trillion. Don't worry, you save 800 billion to justify the tax."

So, in other words, yes WJS was right. It will cost an additional 18 trillion in tax dollars.

Making shit as I go? Do you even understand the article you posted?

Privatized healthcare means the consumer buys their own insurance. Under this economics, Americans pay "non taxed" 3 trillion a year on private insurance. Bernie wants to force Americans to not buy private insurance and tax us 2.2 trillion a year to fund his bill.

Now here's the fucked up thing. We've already seen countless times, from both parties btw, that reallocate funds from old bills to new proposed bills. So let's say Bernie wins and passes this bill. 2.2 trillion more tax is earned. New legislation comes in and says "Hey we require "x" amount of money and we can take from this health bill. Then Americans must find their own insurance, while the DC establishment has another 2.2 trillion to spend.

    Bait and switch politics

Right now as we speak we spend 6600 per citizen for healthcare. The NEXT country down (Canada single payer) spends about half of that.

Again you don't know what you're talking about.
