In Your Opinion, Has Yogi Deserved a Monument in MP/YS?

^^^ yup, that would be Tote...and btw, speaking of VW, they are in DEEP trouble.

 

I read that article in the news, 500,000 cars recalled, for fraudulent factory emission testing. My Old Man has a 08 VW Bug, was my Mom's.

He called yesterday to say, His "like new" VW with only 35,000 miles on it, will not pass the smog test, and his gas tank is leaking like a sieve.

2nd modern day VW My Mom had, which my Dad now drives since Her passing. Both were POS vehicles. So much for German Tech, being top notch.

What shocked me in that story, was I did not even have a clue that VW also purchased Toyota recently. Guess they got alot in common, when it comes to mega recalls.....

 

...VW fraudulently programed its cars with software that gives false emissions readings...they've set aside $80 Billion to pay for fines/recalls etc., and promised that it won't happen again...lol, it's a little late for that.

...and VW stock is now also in the toilet...losing 1/3 of it's value in the last week.

 

vw's fraud is gonna end up as jail time for a lot of execs. i think the calss actions suits are gonna bankrupt them.

oh, btw, not to diminish yogi's service....he was on a rocket boat 300 yards from shore supporting infantry than did land on shore. yogi was quite candid about being happy he was in the navy and not the army.

 

...yeah, I knew Yogi served in the Navy on an LTS or whatever you call it but I didn't wanna rain on Yogi's parade either...still, I'd imagine he still came under a lot of enemy fire out in the water.

...as far as the VW fiasco, it's been rumored that there are other car makers as well who have done some manipulating of software and emissions.
