God damn great game, really fun to watch. I pitty the fool who says Dirk isn't clutch. He wouldn't have needed that shot if Devin had just made those 2 missed free-throws from those and1's.

*Blasts "We Are the Champions"*That was a fun game to watch, and it's even more enjoyable and salivating because the Dallas Mavericks won.Just wanted to note one thing alarming I noticed at the end. Suns playing off Harris and daring him to shoot. First one, he did not have confidence and tried for a layup into Amare. Traveled, second time he bricked. I really hope his shot becomes consistent or that's going to be something more teams start playing on.
Unfortunately I was playing my Xbox 360 and missed about 3 quarters of the game but what I saw was a very exciting game that I should have watched. Steve Nash is incredible, that one pass where he was double teamed and bounced it in to Shawn Marion to tie it up late in the 4th was amazing, only HE could make a pass like that. Once Amare gets a full half of the season under his belt I can see him becoming the player he was during those playoffs against Tim Duncan. Dirk Nowitzki is a stud as well. Dallas and Phoenix are fun to watch when they get together, and they are very uptempto teams which brings excitement to the crowd and fans watching the game. Now I suppose Ill watch Allen Iverson in his first National TV appearance as a Nugget.

That really was an outstanding game. Dallas fought hard all night long, and played great basketball. Dirk for the win!!! That got me pumped! But Jason Terry was the real deal tonight, jesus christ. He was nailing three's like they were free throws, and they were big ones. Dirk played like Dirk, Howard played very well once again, and Devin Harris really stepped up at the end of the game and made some BIG plays. For Phoenix, Nash was exceptional as usual. How can any living person not enjoy watching him play? Amare made a couple very nice big plays, he had a solid game. Shawn Marion was a ghost out there tonight, he did not have a good game at all. Jumaine Jones came off the bench and brought a lot of energy and knocked down a couple shots, Barbosa got to the rim pretty well.Phoenix was a little out of sync as a unit tonight, though, and Dallas took advantage of it. The Dallas defense was pretty good, they forced a lot of turnovers. Great win for Dallas!
This game has definitely got my confidence up that the mavs can beat the suns with Amare. The key for the mavs is to hold the suns under 100 points. I think the mavs should be able to get 100. The suns probably have the greatest offense in the league by far but without defense they will struggle in a playoff setting. Dirk= clutch.

They held Dallas to 41% shooting and really limited Dallas' advantage on the glass. For the 1st time I can remember they did a decent job defending Dirk not allowing him to get into the paint and forcing him to take lower % shots. He just manned up big time on that game winner, a fade away jumper near the 3 point line with Marion right in his face. Now I know how all those teams feel when Nash does them wrong :cry2:
Yeah Dallas struggled with hitting shots tonight but they won the battle of the boards and also forced Phoenix into more turnovers. Dallas still has room to improve their offense from the way they shot tonight. Howard had an off night along with Harris.
I dont totally agree with you on the Howard and Harris struggling. Harris had like 3 3-point oppurtunites and did fairly well while Howard has 16 and 12 and played pretty okay as well. Keys to the game though, we outrebounded them 41-37 outshot them on FT 23-29 to 16-21, and we were pretty much even with them on 3's. They made 9 and we had 8. What I really didnt like was that they really took us out of the whole "having a 5 on the floor at all times" that Avery runs most of the time. They really did make Diop and Damp pretty useless. They only had 9 reb, 2 pts, and NO blks combined. Really think it is important to punish them on the boards and in the paint with Diop and Dampier. After seeing this game, I really like the signing of Buckner more. When we have a series with the Suns in the playoffs, he'll be a very important key. Him and George both. They play multiple positions, can run, hit three's and can defend the likes of Diaw, Bell, Nash, Marion, and Jones. Here's an Idea that I've been thinking about; do you think we should use Josh Howard on the defensive end like the Bulls used Scottie Pippen? Put him on the point guard since he is fast, long, and just plainly bothers players on the defensive end. I think this would be pretty good if we put him on Nash when Phoenix goes with that 3 guard lineup of Bell, Nash, and Barbosa. Harris on Barbosa and Terry on Bell, with Howard on Nash. Now I remember Pippen always hassling the opponents point guard troughout the game. Having them work twice as hard as they would against a smaller defender. Howard gets a ton of deflections and could really slow Nash down. What ya'll think?
I like for a little while but throughout a game will really wear down Howard. I want Howard to be useful on offense and hunting Nash down all the time will tire him. I like throwing Harris, Buckner, and Howard on Nash a lot. Harris though did a great job on Barbosa imo so in a close game that makes sense. I also like George at the power forward position against Phoenix when Stoudemire or Dirk aren't in the game. George>>Van Horn from what I've seen. Great addition picking him up.
I sorta like the idea of Howard on Nash for you guys, but I think mavsfan is right. Besides....Howard owns Marion right now so why change a good thing? The Suns defense was alright but they gave up a season high in offensive rebounds that led to 18 second-chance points. That's pathetic. Amare wasn't good at all even with the 25, 13. He just didn't look right. This was one of those situations were Kurt Thomas would've been useful. He's the only one on the team that knows how to box out...
Amare looked like he wasn't very confident in his offense yesterday, it looked like he was forcing things off the backboard wayyy to much and it'd just bounce off the rim and goto the Mavs.
