Not sure where the 'Montero is 19' bit is coming from......he's 22.

Look, Montero could be a fine player, I'm not against him I would even keep him if it was up to me. I just can't stand the thought we'd release Frazier cause Frazier isn't about potential or whatever, he's already a stud

You're the only one who thinks Frazier is a stud. He's barely a 3rd string PG. I don't have anything against him, but when you've gotta make a cut and you have Frazier/Pressey it's gonna be one of those two.

that doesn't discount the fact he's a poor shooting, undersized PG.

Look unless Olshey decides to keep an extra pg around knowing the injury proness this time has then Pressey is gone end of story. He is basically here to put a flame under Fraizers ass.

I for one don't think Frazier is going anywhere.

Yes, I realised what you're saying after already posting. Thought you said he's an undersized SG

I'm not sure the 15th man on this roster makes one bit of difference to the outcome. Unless he turns out to be an undiscovered gem, he's not likely to be on the team next year.

Guys like John Lucas III had an amazing season somewhere and then turned into the D-Leaguers they really are rather quickly.

You seem to be pounding the Frazier drum fairly hard. That's fine, but I have yet to see anything from him to think he is anything more than an end of the bench role player.

Honestly that is what we are all debating about... end of bench role players. I think the majority in here would rather take a risk on players who have better physical attributes (like Montero) over short PG who don't have a great shot

Frazier is a rotation player in my book, even an important one. I see him as our 1st pg of the bench and playing alongside Damian with Dame at the 2. I think he could be our 3rd guard behind Dame and CJ and I think he is an undiscovered gem.

Pass first point guards who can't shoot don't stay in the league. Plain and simple. We've had a few on our team over the years. Sergio? Eric Maynor? Omar Cook?

Kendall Marshall was touted as a pass-first point guard going into the 2012 draft. He's now on his 4th team going into his 4th season. He was a lottery pick.

Not even close. If he does make the team, he'll never get off the bench. How big do you think our rotation is gonna be?

    Dame
    Henderson
    Aminu
    Leonard
    Plumlee

That's your most likely starting five.

    CJ
    Crabbe
    Harkless
    Vonleh
    Davis

That's 10 dudes right there. That's a fairly big rotation in and of itself. I highly doubt that Frazier will play over Crabbe.

    CJ isn't a PG.
Frazier isn't a bad shooter, not his forte but he can score. Also, having Dame who's a scoring PG makes having a pass-first PG a priority.

Whether CJ is a point guard or not, that's where they want to play him.

Did you watch summer league? His stats were across the board better than Mudiay, who EVERYONE thinks is going to be a star. Mudiay can't shoot at all.

It just seems like people use advanced stats to sound smart, but when it comes to players they don't like they just give him a label. Bust out the advanced stats for summer league - how good is Frazier, give me a quantitative answer.

CJ at PG without one of Dame/Frazier/Pressey on the floor wouldn't work > he's not a PG

Maybe you could play a CJ-Crabbe backcourt for a few minutes but I doubt it
