http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...d_story_lines_the_eye-openi.html#incart_river Who put the sunshine in Jason's bowl of Cheerios? He's not being unrealistic but from the sounds of it, it's much better then the cloud of doom following the Clown as he continues to write as if he's sitting on a large nail. "According to players and people behind the scenes at the Blazers, there are two players who right now are opening eyes with their play: Small forward Maurice Harkless and power forward Cliff Alexander."
There's no need to fear! Underdog is here! when criminals in this world appear and break the laws that they should fear and frighten all who see or hear the cry goes up both far and near for Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! speed of lightning, roar of thunder fighting all who rob or plunder Underdog. Underdog! when in this world the headlines read of those whose hearts are filled with greed who rob and steal from those who need to right this wrong with blinding speed goes Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! speed of lightning, roar of thunder fighting all who rob or plunder Underdog. Underdog!
I've got nothing against positivity. It has its place. But when a dose of cynicism is applied to it, it combusts!
I was jealous of teams like the Bucks having young exciting swingmen with potential and now we have two of them in Montero and Harkless.
Contrary to popular opinion I've always liked quick. He had a good relationship with Roy and when he left it was just batum... Then he burned that bridge when batum considered the tpups. He sees opportunity to get back in the good graces of the players... I'm happy about it
Instead of developing relationships with their subjects, most reporters just report the facts and maintain arms-length businesslike objectivity.
Translation..most reporters know cocktail napkins and tv screens at the bar are an arms length away and work after the 4th vodka tonic while copying Sports Center highlights
http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...ers_unexpected_story_lines_the_eye-openi.html According to players and people behind the scenes at the Blazers, there are two players who right now are opening eyes with their play: Small forward Maurice Harkless and power forward Cliff Alexander. Harkless, acquired in a July trade with Orlando, has jumped so high and so quickly in pickup games that players say he is a one-of-a-kind talent. "I don't think any of us have played with an athlete like him,'' Lillard said. In fact, during in his three seasons in Portland, Blazers president of basketball operations Neil Olshey said Harkless is the most athletic player to put on a Blazers uniform. "People are going to love him,'' Olshey said. Alexander, the undrafted 19-year-old out of Kansas, has been so tenacious and rugged in the team's pickup games, the Blazers' veterans have found themselves looking at each other in amazement that he wasn't drafted. "He should have been drafted in the first round, if you ask me,'' said center Chris Kaman, who is entering his 13th NBA season. "He is an animal. Getting him as an undrafted player is unbelievable.''
.........sigh......... My worst nightmare DENNY!!!!!!!! A ROOKIE creating a thread about an article by that douchebag!
As much as I'm glad to hear that about Alexander, I'm more excited about Harkless. If he can get back on track he has the potential to be better than Nic at SF, at least as far as the 3-D part goes. I am excited to see Farouq play, but my dream lineup is: Dame CJ Harkless Leonard Plumlee Reserves: Henderson/Crabbe Aminu Vonleh Davis with my Championship lineup of: Dame Montero (or drafted 3D guard) Harkless Vonleh Leonard [a starting lineup where 1-5 are good shooters] Reserves CJ Aminu Alexander Plumlee
