I didn't see anyone post this, but I was kind of excited to hear this from Dame: Steph also improved his defense, but I'm glad to see Lillard working on these parts of his game. Also, with the makeup of this team, there will be a lot of opportunity to rack up easy assists. Maybe we will be able to start calling him Dime Dolla'. http://www.blazersedge.com/2015/9/2...rd-media-day-interview-portland-trail-blazers
That's not a bad player to imitate. Curry does such a great job of creating space to get off good shots. If Dame can duplicate that with his additional athletic ability, he will be very dangerous.
I've always thought that Dame's handles could be better. They are tight and controlled. Nothing (for lack of a better term) flashy. He does a great job of shooting with very little space between he and his defender. Creating more space can only make him and the team better.
Excellent. I've always been more concerned about Dame's play-making ability than his defense. IMO Dame has only been an average starting PG when it comes to running plays and setting up easy scoring opportunities. If he can improve in that area I think it'll have a much larger impact on the team's success than improving his individual defense.
Yes, the current team looks much more like the Clippers--a team that really benefits from a play-making PG. Between the pick-and-rolls and hopefully guys cutting back door you can see a lot of potential for easy baskets if Dame can find them.
I'd like to see Dame lead his stable of young guns by getting them involved in the offense, rather than trying to score 30 a night.
and Curry does it with a completely unimposing physique. If Dame can mimic other areas of Curry's game, his strength would be an important edge.
