Why not stop with the stupid comparisons. My lord. Kevin Durant is 6'10" 230 pounds, can shoot, drive, dribble and is a great athlete. That's all that matters. Who cares if he compares more to Antawn or Rashard, neither are very accurate comparisons anyway.

Jonathan Bender? You've got to be kidding me. Nobody's ever seen that guy play, and when he did play in the NBA he was never 100% and was 5% developed skill wise. Let's not get carried away and compare every tall player with guard skills to Durant. Take him completely out of the conversation. If I had to compare him to anybody it would be a taller Tracy McGrady. I'm not real big into comparisons considering all these players are so dfferent.

Durant hasn't really shown this ability this year, and I really don't think he is ever going to show that playmaker ability in his life that Mcgrady has. As well as Mcgrady is not going to be your higher percentage type shooter. You can say to stop the comarison's all you want, but the reality is, the way he plays is just like Rashard Lewis plays in the NBA. I don't see how your going to say Rashard Lewis isn't very accurate, and then say Tracy Mcgrady is, that's just dumb.
This guy has been amazing. To be honest I only joined the Durant bagwagon this year (I didn't no much about him in High School). But wow, this guy was amazing this year. I really like the Rashard Lewis comparrisons. Another guy he reminds me of is Dirk Notwitzki because of their pure strokes and their excellent rebounding. Durant is a much better defensive player than Dirk though.

Like I've said 100 times comparisons are never 100%, they have a lot of similarities, reminds me more of McGrady than Lewis.
Here's a comparison that I've used before and I think its the best comparison thus far. A more athletic Larry Bird. He has excellent range like Bird and can rebound like Bird did at the small foward position. His passing isnt up to par w/ Bird's, but that can improve over the years. The one thing that Durant has that is different than Bird is that he is gifted with much better physical skills than Bird. This will help him more on the defensive end of the floor. Durant has the ability to become a much better defender than Bird ever was because he is just more athleticly gifted. I think Durant is also going to be clutch like Bird was in college and the pros. He has the skill level to become a player that impacts the game like Larry Bird.

He also can not get teamates open shots like Mcgrady can off of his passing. Lewis does that same thing makes average passes, but nothing to get his teamates open shots like Mcgrady does either. As for everything else you said, it can be said for Lewis. Has the same size and build, both are tall enough to play the 4 but do not have the bulk and build. There is pretty much 5 pounds of difference between Lewis and Durant right now. Both can score from anywhere on the court, shoot from anywhere on the court, both are good athletes, both are good free throw shooters. The way they play are the similar, pretty much both are scorers that do not create for their teamates. Neither one moves well without the ball, Mcgrady did a much better job of moving without the ball in Orlando. Both like to shoot the three to set up for everything else. You really have not shown me one way that makes him look more like Mcgrady than Lewis.

They had an internal desire to not only be the best at their posistion but to be the best in the league and a winner. Until a player had played a few years in the league and shown what his mental makeup is, you can't compare them to any of these players. They have to prove the want it and are complacent with being a very good player but have the desire to be a great player. There are, plenty of very good player, but so very few players like those listed above IMO.

I've watched him around 10 times this season and from what I saw made some very good passes and hit open teammates. Especially as the year went on and AJ Abrams and DJ Augustin stepped up. When I watch Kevin Durant he just reminds me more of McGrady, elite athlete, taking over the game offensively...all the other stuff I said before...etc...
