GONE = Drew, Ryan, Young & (God willing) Crapuano.

WHAT I'D LIKE TO SEE = Sabathia & Teixeira gone even if it means paying 1/2 there salaries. Use Gardner & or Headley as trade chips.

FILLED POSITIONS = Bird at first, Refsnyder at second & if we can unload Gardner see if Judge can play LF.

I can see someone maybe taking Gardner but without the Yanx having to eat some of Headley's contract it might be pretty hard to move him.

Package Headley with Nova. Might work.

^^^yeah, the Yanx have a surplus of pitchers and catchers that can be used as chips.

Speaking of catchers I can see the Yankees using Sanchez as a chip since Murphy seems to be the back up for McCann.

    Rick.............right, of course.

Cannot watch these same players doing it again for another year.
    Too familiar with their mediocrity.

Wouldn't mind heathcott manning one of those outfield spots also next year. Think judge is going to have to hit better than .224 at triple a before he gets up here. Maybe by the allstar break

Mel I wouldn't mind that but I'd like to see us move Gardner.

Both Boys castrated? George's daughter, would probably create a "knitting night," or in lieu of Yankee legends - 'bobble head nights', she'd ensure those 'bobble heads' were revised to "Hillary bobble head night", or "Monica Lewinsky bobble head night." - Lewinsky would be a natural bobble header.....

Or - Your not implying, (since no one has any balls Upstairs), to can Trashman in favor of Caitlyn Bruceifer are ya'..........! :smiley-kidding: :smiley-yell: :smiley-pat::smiley-aparatic:

Gardner is the Ellsbury hedge....I'd rather move the latter and bring up Heathcock.

I'd rather give Gardner to Starfks, for a Years worth of Espresso, as this team needs their caffeine, then some......

Agree big time on Heathcott - from what I've seen from him so far, I think he's a very talented all around player and makes things happen - problem staying healthy.
Also- imo, Yanks HAVE found their 2b in Refsnyder until (if) he shows he is a bad defensive 2b--- but he certainly looks like he can hit and has plate discipline.
If the Yanks do earn a LDS Tuesday, I believe he'll make the roster AND play.

Unless the Yanks can land a young star-like player by dealing Sanchez, I don't think or believe the Yanks have any intentions of trading him.
He's too good of a hitting prospect - they'll find a "spot" for him on the field - and possibly, Murphy may instead go in a deal- and yes, I also like Murph- fine young catcher.

...Heathcott's ability has never been in question...his problem has always been staying healthy enough to stay on the field.

And ellsbury can play 162? Gardner has greater value IMHO.

I agree Tom, Gardner is the guy that'll be easier to move.

For me, It's about balance and moving forward with Youth. Bird has to play, it's that simple, Tex has had a good enough year to warrant other teams looking for a thumper. I would like to see the following
    C- McCann
    1B- Bird
    2B- Rys
    SS- Didi
3B- Headley (Cause nobody will want him)
LF- Free Agent Signing (Haywood) moved to right after 2016
CF- Ellsbury, we can't give him away.
    RF- Beltran, last year

    Infield reserves: don't laugh
    Ackley (2b-1b-of)
    Drew (ss-2b)

    Outfield reserves
    Gardner traded for pitching (relief)
    Heathcoat

    Catching
    Sanchez
    Murphy (Doc Blanchard Role) C-3b-1b-OF

    DH-Arod

See your 5 and raise you tem on most. Not sure who would pay that big salary for Tex, but I sure like Bird at first. I too like Ackley as a utility guy, Drew if defensive replacement only. Remember your "Occupy Yankee Stadium Poast from last year. The hallmark of this team has always been performance and improvement which we've not see much of in recent seasons. Derek Jeter once commented "We're the Yankees they hate us everywhere we go. Yankee fans are not spoiled they just have higher expectations. Per River Avenue Blues post game video heard Beltran comment on the Yankees slide as "it is what it is. Just as bad as Tex commenting just a bump in the road after being swept by Toronto.
