and tired. Remember the 2000 team that limped into the playoffs and won the World Series? This isn't even close to the talent of a team that had won two WS in a row at that point. This is a mediocre team that has played that way for the last 60+ games. Frankly, what does it matter where the playoff game is played at this point? How are they winning it? Even if Tanaka is lights out is the offense going to show up?
They finally get Drew out of the picture and Ryan becomes the bad dream that won't go away. Although the alternative at third is Headley who has done nothing. Another stiff with a horrible contract the Yankees are stuck with.
True but he always seems to come up in crucial situations like tonight with 2nd & 3rd no one out......Never fails. I don't know if you watch college football but whats up with the Irish tonight?
Wet field means anything can happen but Clemson is a good team. They have a great last minute chance but will need the two point conversion even if they score.
Bad play call on the two point conversion to try and tie it. Also, early in the fourth ND went for two instead of kicking the extra point. As it played out they would've needed an extra point to tie instead of the two points.
What a helluva game......Vic nailed it, and - The Irish played in Death Valley, They missed their traditional Morning Mass, but boy did they fight tooth and nail, both teams deserved to win that game. _____________________________________________________ I hope its not to early to say, the most impressive player thus far in NCAA-FB has IMO, been LSU's Leonard Fournette. Reminds me of a cross b/t Brown, Sanders, Bo, and a few other greats. Only a Sophmore, with 8 TD's, 3 consecutive 200+ yard games, 73 Carries for 8.6 yards per touch. If this kid keeps it up, he should win the Heisman, and I hope to hell, he can continue at the same level in the NFL one day. Ohio State, IMO, is way over ranked, way over ranked. My forecast: TCU will win this years Championship, hands down, (or not); barring injury,..... 1 game I look forward to seeing is the Wolverines meet the Spartans. M-St. has been a tough opponent in the last 3 years, in that time they won a Rose Bowl, had the #1 Defense in the land, but barely squeaked by a bad 1-4, Purdue team, today: 24-21. Harbaugh's return to Ann Arbor is bringing back dividends already. Should be a helluva game, for the Big 10 East... The other One game of the Season, which should be a beat down by both clubs, both high scoring offenses, TCU vs Baylor..... Then of course we got my fav game of the Year, (other than the Championship Tourny), no not the Pac-12 Title, the SEC Title Game.....roll tide roll, ( a bit premature a year, give 'em 2 more), and run Leonard run.......
That 2000 season was one of the few good things Cashman pulled when Dave Justice was acquired to be the final piece of that teams puzzle.
