IMO, this is one of the poorest field of FA's we've seen in years. Other than Price or Greinke, which I don't foresee the Yanx landing either, especially Greinke, who will get his pay day from Guggy. I will not be surprised if Greinke is making Kershaw Money next year.

NOTE: Greinke has said publicly; to the Bums and His agent, "I wan't to stay in the NL; and on a Pennant Winning Team." Tho' hitting is not the main reason why, but Greinke does love to hit, and often helps his own cause with his bat, time and time again.

I don't see the Yankees going after any of the big guns so I'd settle for 30 year old Wei-Yin Chen or 28 year old Mike Leakes though I'm hoping the Giants can resign him.

Frank I wouldn't mind Upton in left if he replaces Gardner but he's going to be looking for something long term for AT LEAST 17-20M per.

Imo- Yanks will not touch Utley or Lee unless Lee comes for bargain basement cost.
Yanks are - IMO - adhereing to the "plan".
Couple more big contracts to get out of the way.....then reducing payroll and relying much more on the farm system and getting younger and less expensive.

Cashman has said it plenty of times and proved it last off season when he said the Yanks were NOT going to sign any big free agent pitchers....and they DIDN'T, and proved it this past season at the trade deadline when he said he wasn't even going to entertain trades where the other teams were trying to pry any of the Yanks' top prospects including Severino. It's been fairly obvious....IMHO.

Regarding Utley & Lee I believe Totus was being sarcastic.

Yep, I just wanted to contribute and include my thoughts on the "Yanks'" plans going forward and in regards to some free agents.

Honestly I just don't see them going after any big names unless they can get rid of some of the current garbage like Gardner.
