Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list SORRY NO LINK. I got this from another forum.1. Corey Maggette, ClippersIt's now been a full year since the Clips first tried to deal him to Indiana in a trade that fell through when Maggette couldn't pass the Pacers' physical, and he -- just like every other key player on the Clippers -- has had a precipitous drop in production this season while waiting for another deal to go down. The prevailing belief around the NBA is that Maggette will be gone from the Clippers within the next two weeks.Possible destinations: Kings, Heat, Jazz, Spurs, Rockets, Magic2. Ron Artest, KingsOne major player agent, usually the overly cautious type, went so far as to tell Insider he "guarantees" Artest will be traded, saying Sacramento has had a change of heart after believing earlier this season that the best way to move forward would be to deal Mike Bibby. One team to keep in mind in the whole Artest mix is Miami, as the Heat's interest in Allen Iverson showed how Pat Riley -- one of the few who would welcome the challenge of coaching a head case like Artest -- is looking to do something major in his effort to repeat.Possible destinations: Clippers, Heat, Warriors3. Morris Peterson, RaptorsHe'll undoubtedly be gone from Toronto by the time the trade deadline arrives in late February, but he'll be gone by mid-January if Bryan Colangelo can get some dependable size or a low first-round pick for a player whose usefulness in Toronto has expired and whose $4.5 million salary comes off the cap in June. And because the Raptors are about $2 million under the cap, they can take back a higher-salaried player than usual. Interest from around the league heated up after Peterson lost his starting job to Fred Jones.Possible destinations: Celtics, Heat, Hornets, Jazz, Bulls, Pacers4. Jeff McInnis, NetsHe's clogging up a much-needed roster spot in New Jersey, where Rod Thorn has turned desperate following the season-ending knee injury to Nenad Krstic. McInnis's $3.6 million salary comes off the cap in June, and Thorn is now said to be willing to include a lottery-protected No. 1 draft pick in a deal. Portland reportedly turned down McInnis and Jason Collins for Jamaal Magloire.Possible destinations: Heat, 76ers5. P.J. Brown, BullsCurrently going through a cooling-off period after publicly expressing his displeasure with his role in Chicago, where he lost his starting job early in the season. Plenty of teams want him, but the Bulls want to hang on to his expiring $8 million contract -- and Mike Sweetney's -- until closer to the trade deadline, when Kevin Garnett or another capable low-post scorer could come onto the market.Possible destinations: Nets, Lakers, Mavericks6. James Posey, HeatHis expiring $6.4 million contract is one of the few chips Pat Riley has in his arsenal, along with youngsters Dorell Wright and Wayne Simien and the expiring contract of Jason Kapono. A package of all four, plus a No. 1 pick, could get the Heat a $12 million player or players in return.7. Earl Boykins, NuggetsHe certainly hasn't looked expendable playing alongside Allen Iverson in Denver's last two games, but his role and his number of shot attempts will both dry up when Carmelo Anthony finishes his 15-game sucker-punch suspension, and the Nuggets are expected to try to pawn off a salary for a draft pick to avoid paying the luxury tax.8. Gerald Green, CelticsAmid all the duplication and youth on Boston's roster, Danny Ainge is much more reluctant to part with Delonte West, Al Jefferson and Tony Allen than he is with Green, who had 18 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and two steals in a rare start Tuesday night at Denver.9. Mike Dunleavy, WarriorsWe were tempted to put him higher on this list, but various voices around the league cautioned there's more smoke than fire here, in large part because of his base-year compensation status, although there's still more interest in Junior than there is in another Warrior long rumored to be on the block, Troy Murphy.10. Jamaal Magloire, Trail BlazersHas a big contract ($8.3 million) that comes off the cap after this season, but Portland seems set on keeping him until closer to the Feb. 23 trade deadline.Honorable mention: Bonzi Wells, Rockets (trade eligible after Jan. 5); Jerome James, Knicks; DJ Mbenga, Mavericks; Beno Udrih, Spurs; Eddie Jones, Grizzlies; Andre Miller, 76ers; Matt Harpring, Jazz; Jackie Butler, Spurs.----------------------------------------------I gotta say, having Gerald Green on this list is a complete joke. I've read an article stating he was untouchable. To say he is more reluctant to part with Tony Allen, haha, give me a break.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list nice find :happy0144: gerald green might be untouchable, but what if he asks for a trade, what if he starts complaining? he'd pretty much have to be traded in those circumstances. it isn't just the gm who decides whether or not to trade someone. the player themselves is just as much involved.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list PacersfanforeverGerald Green is 20 years oldhe isn't gonna demand a trade when he doesn't need to and doesn't deserve towhen you're 20 years old you haven't earned the right to demand to be tradedplus he likes it here in Boston
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list I expected a Cavaliers player on here. I don't know which one though. Drew Gooden? Donyell Marshall? They just need a change.Mike James should be on the list too. The Pistons are interested in another point guard, and Dumars would love to reacquire James. I don't see what Beno Udrih is doing on the Honorable Mention list.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list I hope the Jazz can land either Maggetti or Peterson; the Jazz have a good team but they are missing a good shooting guard, both those guys would fit the Jazz need.

His ego isn't big enough to demand a trade. He's not that type of player/person.

I don't know if I would change anything with the Jazz right now though.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list I agree with everybody on the list, except Gerald Green. Why in the hell would this guy even say Gerald Green? Is he an idiot? Danny would rather keep Delonte and/or Allen than Green? NO SIR.Does this guy also not know what Ainge actually offer both West AND Allen in the Iverson offer, and refused to include Green or Jefferson? Does this guy not know the strides Gerald has made since last year? Does he not know how well he has been playing? Does he not know that he is a huge part of our future? As soon as I saw Gerald Green's name on this list, I chuckled and shook my head. Also note that ESPN has been predicting Paul Pierce to be traded since 2003, and "confirmed" 2 rumors (one to Chicago, and one to Denver) within the past 3 years? Give me a break.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list I could see Boykins going to a team like the Spurs, who could use a boost down the stretch in hope to getting some quick points, and perhaps an edge to homecourt advantage.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mike James should be on the list too.</div>Why? He signed a 4 year contract. Whose going to take on that?On Gerald Green, I think the guy's point is if there's going to be a young Celtic traded. It's most likely Green. Teams want him in deals and not the others. For Mavs, I would like to keep an eye on Mo Pete. I noticed DJ Benga on the list as well. I could see a package involving Croshere, AJ and Benga in some sort of deal by the deadline. But most likely I think we stand pat.

I would try to trade Haffa as well, but I dont even think the clippers would want him as filler.

I don't have a link though.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list I say this ... no way mo pete comes to the bulls.. no need for an other SF
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list I would love to have a guy like Magloire on the Lakers. But what could we trade for him? Also, Andre Miller is still in the Lakers' rumor mill so I guess time will tell.

Boston wouldn't let him go because he has a lot of potential. I agree with almost everything else on the list though.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list Gerald Green doesn't play enough minutes. He should be a starter. He's good enough already. If Doc keeps him like this he might ask for a trade.

Even if you insert MoPete as the SG, Thabo Sefolosha needs his minutes.

Gerald Green has started the last 4 games and before last night he was averaging 18 points and 8 boards as a starter. And yes, when Pierce is healthy, it's VERY tough to find this kid consistant minutes when you have Pierce/Wally/Allen.3. He's 20 years old, in his second year in the league out of high school. He's not going to ask for a trade lol. He loves it in Boston, he's a great kid who works hard, and he knows he has a lot to work on. He won't ask for a damn trade.
Re: ESPN's top 10 most likely to be traded list Why would the Celtics want to trade Green though? If we trade Mo, we need some more outside shooting in return, or we'll be a terrible outside shooting team. That would be very uncharacteristic for a Raptor team..
