Okay, why was the thread titled "Keep or dumped" locked. Please tell me that it wasn't because NO ONE is allowed to disagree anymore. Because if that's the case, I'm gone.

Since it was hijacked and steered into the same ditch as many other threads it was for the best.

Rick you asked the question and two of us have given you a reasonable answer. It's clear as day where that thread headed and it's a shame because the purpose of it wasn't supposed to be another endless rant about Joe Girardi. That's where the thread went, it clearly turned everyone off from it and it's best to just move on from it.

It is what it is Vic but rather than shut down a thread it might be a better idea to shut down the poster for 24-48 hours. JMO.

no problem rick, i will leave this board voluntarily, just know this, like you said it ain't about hatin the man as to why YOU yourself posted, "dump" girardi.

i put facts on here to support my beliefs from experience, its not about hate, hijacking, or anything else!

enjoy all the redundant hate posts about cashman, and the failed offense by every single player, bad contracts, and the pitchers who could not pass the 6th inning, day offs, no creativity to try and produce runs, cause all of this and more was quite prevalent with a teams with a 200mill+ payroll.

take care, health to your family!

Rick, from a mods perspective its better to lock a thread rather than single out one poster. Sorry but it does take 2 to argue. Make your point and move on. You don't need the last word, and others reading know who's right. If another poster gets under your skin and you can't control your own actions than toggle the ignore feature.

We have so few posters....banning people requests are getting tiresome. Just let it go.

Leaving is your choice & yes I did say dump Girardi & yes I also said that I'm not a fan of the guy but where we differ is that I make my point & move on, I don't beat it to death. I don't have to air my feelings about the man in every post & thread for the others here to know how I feel about the guy. And the difference with Cashman IMO is that its a unanimous dislike for the job he's doing.

You be well, hope to see you back under better conditions.

We all should agree on completely cleaning house:

New ownership, new GM, new Mgr. As my mind is being controlled the phrase....we can't fire the players keeping popping up, lol!

Steins are selling until they can get maximum dollar, and that won't happen until ARod is gone. So without new ownership, the same cast of characters are lashed to the mast of this foundering Yankee clipper as we drift aimlessly asea for the next 2 years. I think it's telling that Cashman got tied up to the same length of time as this team is crippled with horrendous contracts. I don't see him staying beyond that, nor will Girardi. We've got 2 more years of status quo unless by some miracle Cashman actually learns how to make deals. I'm not holding my breath.

Very well put Tom, & PLEASE! whoever is next in charge, no more opt out clauses, both A-Rod & Sabathia would be gone now & off the books if they (brass) didn't allow this. & no more with the 7-10 year contracts that cripple the team for years to come.

Thank you. That's the only point I've tried to make over and over again. Repeating the same point almost word for word ad nauseam in thread after thread is what the issue is. It might as well just be cut and pasted because that's what it seems like. It happens continuously regardless of the subject matter of the thread. It occurred in one of Lillie's playoff game threads as well. It has been addressed and just continues and continues. The thread that got locked was a good thread until it got driven into the same ditch many others have in the past because of these same actions.

NO, this is why you do this, to pick on someone, that is all! it's the same usual suspects that attack, harass and abuse their power.

not every post, in every thread i make is about girardi, , as a matter of fact, the first post i made in the locked thread was about ellsbury! thats the 1st lie.

i need to have thicker skin? you need a thinner head.

totes , u r an educated man, and i don't consider you 1 of the usual suspects , tell me how cashman makes any deal without the owner's consent? he clearly said they are going to go within so they didn't have to give up bird and serevino, 2 great additions i mite add, what more can the man do, he can only interpret to us what ownership wants, and i'm not defending him, all the man has is a title. i have put many good questions on here in the past, like this one that continually go unanswered cause the usual suspects rather attack then answer, and that is why i choose to leave rick ! i haven't a clue on how to be part of this nonsense!

and again to all of you, health & happiness.

Hey pasta, I think the steins have given cashman a bank account and budget and from there they don't care what he does. I've seen nothing that tells me the sons of the boss care an iota about baseball transactions....just the dollars. Now from your experiences, owners might have been more hands on, but I don't see evidence that Cashman has his hands tied beyond the pocketbook.

Simple social skills would be a good start. Insulting people's intelligence, integrity and baseball knowledge because after all you played the game was never a good start.

I don't agree with cleaning house from top to bottom...
Why should we all agree with that?
I'm giving this regime including Cashman at least one more year to handle a couple of big long term contracts, while simultaneously infusing the team with young players.....and I think they have done a decent job under the circumstances.....some of us seem to have convenient amnesia regarding ONE OR TWO of the current big contracts.....does 2009 ring a bell?

The Yankee farm system is alive and well and the big team has already displayed a few young players from the minors THIS SEASON who have shown promise and contributed ......combine the existing contracts/payroll with the good quality of farmhands who have played this year for the Yanks and I doubt if you'll find another franchise which has handled these TWO aspects with better success.

ok, that mite be true, and if it is, then where did Cashman do wrong?

let me ask you this, if the BOSS was still here, would price or tulo have gotten passed us, you really believe a beard kept him from here ? and, if there choice was not to be a yankee no matter what , would he not have created such a stink that would have prevented those 2 from going to a team in the east?

Does this not go along the line of what we were accustomed too with the boss, what cashmans role really was/is, and how hal & hank are the real issue?
