http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/carmelo/#noah-vonleh Have fun playing with it. Expect to be annoyed about many of the Blazer projections.
Yeah the projections seem conservative to me. Look at all the stars outside of Anthony Davis they're all projected to decline. We don't really have anyone projected to make big improvements yet most analytical writers seem to like our moves. If all these players have declining production there has to be players out there that improve?
Here are the categories they all fell into for their player's future forecasts: Dame: ALL-STAR Aminu: KEY ROLE PLAYER Mason: ROTATION PLAYER Meyers: ROTATION PLAYER Henderson: SCRUB CJ: ROTATION PLAYER Ed Davis: ROTATION PLAYER Vonleh: DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST Harkless: ROTATION PLAYER Crabbe: ROTATION PLAYER Frazier: SCRUB Pressey: PROJECT Alexander: OK PROSPECT Pat: MARGINAL PROSPECT Kaman: DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST
Interesting that Hendo is projected as a scrub. Many of us thought he could be an acceptable starter or great sub but there's definitely statistical red flags with him. I'm as interested to see his performance this year as our young guys.
Really sums up the problem. Great depth, lots of rotation worthy players, but only one stud. I really hope they are wrong about Vonleh and that he has a higher ceiling then that. As for Kaveman being a "defensive specialist"....WTF?
I like that Pat's entire existence is summed up so well with those two words..... marginal.... prospect.
