This thread is dedicated to Chauncey and whatever his status is for the next game. Reading the game recap, it says that the status for the Sunday game against PHX remains unknown. I'm very nervous about this injury for two reasons. First off, he's the team leader, and our clutch shooter. It will be hard to play without the leader. He's like a second head coach. Secondly, our point guard rotation was Billups/Hunter/Blalock, and Murray can play some point also. Now, we have Murray/Blalock, and maybe some Hamilton and Prince point guard minutes. God heal Chauncey!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chauncey "Mr. Big Shot" Billups (23 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four threes, a steal and a block) nailed a 3-pointer with 18 seconds remaining in tonight's loss to the Pacers, but strained his right calf in the process. Team officials helped him off the court and he is expected to miss up to two weeks of time."When I saw the rebound come out, I kind of went to plant and take off to go after it," Billups said. "I felt a pop in there a little bit. When I went to take off to shoot, I was like, 'I just can't move.' So I hurt it before the shot. I knew it wasn't a cramp because I've gotten cramps before and I would have been able to come back. We just have to monitor it and see." The incident is just the latest in the myriad injuries to strike NBA stars this season. Billups has been a top-10 fantasy player to this point.</div>per rotoworld
Wow - 2 weeks is the longest injury time I've experienced as a Piston fan. lol For the rest of you, houstan fans for example - that's nothing.
Another break for the Suns? I'm getting so tired of this, I want a quality win finally, not luck with injuries all the time!

We are going to play the Pistons again later in the year anyways.
This hurts. I don't know what we will do without him. We can put up a fight against the Suns if Sheed catches fire, but even then the Suns will still have a lot of punch in them.

The Suns have proven nothing this season so far and every time they have a chance to do so somebody gets injured. These wins against injured teams are meaningless and also very boring. And if they lose, very, very disappointing.

I said "if we lose" so I'm not just saying it's impossible for you guys to win. It's just that these games are meaningless or it makes the Suns look very bad if they don't win.
Big blow for us. Flip will have to play a lot more, even though he's been playing badly lately. Tay will probably see some time at point, and I guess Amir will suit up. :shifty2: Really could have used Hunter at this time. It will be interesting to see how we play without Chauncey.
Tayshaun will step up, he's a good 1-3 player. We obviously will lose alot without him, but I don't think it will be to the extent that we won't be able to win games against middle of the road squads.
