Way to go! And aside from accomplishing a huge goal you will be winning me a bet.

You can't win a marathon without putting some band aids on your nipples.

    Hahahaha!

Would you get disqualified or something? Or would everybody just look at you like you are a total a hole?

I have something called Body Glide for that. I put it on for a 19 mile run and had no problems.

FWIW, I walk 10 miles in about two and a half hours. ~15 minutes/mile, sometimes closer to 14.

I know I could walk 26, but I never felt like spending that much time to prove it.

I hate running. It is really boring to me. I sometimes run 2 miles and walk 2.3 (4.3total) and average 10+ minutes/mile.

I think what you're doing, Eric, is impressive as all hell.

    Keep it up!

New York City Marathon Race Strategy: How to Crush the Five Burroughs Written by Coach Jeff

With just over 45,000 finishers each year, the New York City Marathon is the largest marathon in the world. It’s also one of the most difficult courses of the Major Marathons.

With deceptively hilly bridges, a tough finish through Central Park, and screaming crowds that can make your adrenaline surge at the most inopportune times, the course can bring even the most elite runners to their knees.

For these reasons, running the New York City Marathon requires a precise and meticulous race strategy that blends patience and cautious aggression that will allow you to keep the legs strong for the final hills and the glycogen in your system to prevent hitting the wall.

In this article, we’re going to break down each section of the New York City Marathon course and show you exactly how you should approach each mile for an optimal finishing time.

It's right around the corner, 11 days away. Make sure not to overtrain in the final week. You put in the time, now trust your body. Stretch a lot though.

Good luck, you have a bunch of S2ers rooting for you.

Thanks Further! I'm only doing 2 more runs. 6 laps around the reservoir in Central Park (9.6 miles) on Saturday and 3 laps (4.8 miles) on Tuesday. Then it's rest, rest, rest.
