Yeah, but reading a book is free. I mean stay at moms going to college, what will that do? What do you learn in college? Gotta get that philosophy in order?

Problem is, too many Mexicans. In the good old days, white children went out in the fields and earned their keep. Picking grapes and olives for their parents' drinks, then trying to sleep with all that sex in the next bedroom. Nowadays all you white bums play video games while your poor old grandfathers mow the spacious lawn they paid for and you play croquet on.

My wife solved the problem by starting a day care in our home when our son was a toddler...worked like a charm..made a lot of money from other mothers who wanted to work and had plenty of friends for our only child to grow up around.

Oh, I agree. College appears to be a rip off. But that does not mean you can not learn what you want to know. And when you want to know, is the time to learn what ever that is.

My wife stays at home. But it's hard to find work when you're a plastic blow-up doll.

Easy answer is, don't have kids if you can't afford it.

    +1 for abortion!

I would never let my wife be a stay at home parent. Maybe for the first couple years of our kids life. But after that, get your ass to work and start contributing. Both my parents worked, I went to day care. We all turned out somewhat normal.

It's all great as long as the parents make time for parenting...day care can be great if it's the right day care

My wife stayed at home with both kids, til just 2 years ago when our youngest started 3rd grade. The combo of her not working and us moving and our mortgage payment doubling, made those 10 years VERY tough. But We both really wanted her to be home to raise the kids the way we wanted. She was raised that way. I wasn't, I was at a babysitter everyday after school. I never got in trouble or was bad, but I always remember missing my parents. My wife only makes 1/4 what I make, but the 2nd income has been fantastic. Paying off the cars and a bunch of bills has been great. We went many years not getting each other presents and taking any vacations, but we are starting to turn that corner. I'd say if you can afford it, go for it. That time with the kids is priceless.

According to some of the folks on this board, the women you date are collecting social security. Why would they need to work???

I dont know, I watch my sisters try to parent their bastard children and think the kids would probably stand a better chance if their parents werent in the picture.
