Manziel is a punk, spoiled, reckless/careless, and has too much money for a young Man, if he's even that mature..... There was a reason they called him Johnny Fkng Football at TAMU, because no one could get away with calling Him Johnny Flaming Fkhead...... Kenny Hill, Manziel's replacement; the following year after the NFL Draft was even better than JFF. Hill, continuously was being found in alleyways sleeping off a drunk, and it happened damn near every Saturday Night......Kenny Who???
Addictions are independent of status, financial opportunity or personal talents. Assuming these links are strawmen, the pathology of addiction is far more complex. In fact one could argue that his athletic talent brought him money which further enabled his addictive personality. The kid has problems, I hope he gets clean and sober. There are more important things than sports.
