Yes, I know the funny line would be NOTHING! Also, I know Brooks is usually Dump's department but his article this morning is an example of hideous hack journalism. An example of hey I wrote my story prior to the nice performance last night and I'm going to have the Post run it regardless. Not to mention close it out with a line that dismisses last night's game.

Now some would agree with the point that the playoffs grinds of prior seasons can take their toll. That being said the end of the story where Brooks writes.

In other words, this is going to be a long and grinding road. And regardless of the team’s best intentions, there is no guarantee that this halting start (albeit 4-2-1) will be followed by the Rangers catching fire anytime soon.

I would say based on what?

Brooks finally lost me when he was saying trade Miller for Santorelli at the deadline, then turning around and fear-mongering about losing Miller to an offer sheet this past offseason. He's turned into click bait. He does get good scoops regarding contract negotiations, although it remains to be seen if that continues with Gorton running the show instead of Sather. But his columns have gone off the deep end.

Funny thing is the Rangers are 4-2-1. That is with ZERO goals from Nash & Kreider...ZERO. Pretty solid if you ask me.

As much as Brooks is over the top, and he is, truthfully he is not far off from some of the fans in here. Did you read the posts during/after the Habs game or the Devs game? Comical way over the top stuff really 5 or 6 games into the season.

So yeah Brooks is a fool a lot of the time, but our fans spew a lot of the same over the top craziness he does on these boards every day...well after a loss at least...LOL.

Didn't read it and I won't. Brooks is a senile, old moron 90% now. He should have been fired 5 years ago. He has no clue how to build a team. No vision. He's basically an imbecile at this point.

Personally, I take nothing from this overrated, overused
NY hack. I cannot even call him a journalist!
I will say this.........people on this board have more
insight about the team. Brooks has no insight whatsoever.
Fans here have a better pulse on the Rangers than any
newspaper writer I have read in recent years.
