Doc Rivers on Gerald Green, after the game tonight in his post-game press conference: Is Doc f*cking serious? Honestly... what? Gerald has been one of the few to actually step up with Pierce out (including Jefferson and Allen). He has shot the ball well, gotten to the basket, he has been VERY aggressive on the boards and defensively. OK, so he doesn't lock down his man or score on every single possession, but he has done a real good job lately and he has come a LONG way since last year. Way ahead of schedule, really. Tonight - Gerald starts, plays the first 4 minutes of the game. - Gerald loses his man on ONE defensive possession and gets benched for the rest of the first half, except the last 20 seconds of it. - Wally takes all the minutes. He shoots 3-17, takes bad shots, turns the ball over, he didn't move well, and he played worse defense than Dan Dickau. - Gerald barely plays in the second half as well, Wally continues to get all the minutes, and continues to suck. So Doc, how come when Gerald makes ONE mistake, he gets benched, but Wally makes 12-15 mistakes (no joke, 12-15) and plays 35 minutes? Because he's a "veteran?" Oh, before I post this thread... I hate to say I told you so: http://www.bball-world.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20204
I just don't understand how this can possibly be justified. maybe gerald is scalabrine's new nickname.
I still can't believe we need to deal with this bullsh** for the rest of the season. Danny, get your head out of your ass and fire this guy before he fucks the young guys to tears and ruins everything we got.
