It's official, Off Topic has more posts than General NBA (as of this post) Of course this has nothing to do with a certain member returning and contributing over the past week :g:
IMO Off-Topic is just as important as NBA because you can talk all about NBA you want, but off-topic will keep it active when news is slow.
I agree, they're both important to the site, but some basketball forums I know of don't even have an off topic/general discussion section, and I think that's what separates us from the rest, we have great basketball talk, but also a great community with plenty of other discussion going on for when you don't want to talk about basketball; it's a good balance.
Its not like General Basketball is the only Basketball section. Overall there are 95,210 posts in basketball sections, so I don't see a problem with off topic having more than general NBA. Plus like I said, it adds to the community, guys get to know each other, IMO its good for the board as a whole.
haha yeah, it has alot to with JB posting here 300 times a day..but imo, it's good..we get to know eachother better, and it's a place where we can talk about stuff outside of basketball

It's not a bad thing. The Off Topic forums help build chemistry here...We have lots of NBA activity here anyway...
I see myself talking more in General NBA around All-Star break, and afterwards...right now the league is pretty boring.

I wish we would have a lot more posts in General NBA, but we have too many off-topic posters. I don't like this, but oh well. I don't post in off-topic much at all, I'm here to talk basketball.
This sucks really, a majority of my posts are in the NBA General board and I'm proud of it. We need to get more stuff going in there.
You guys are forgetting that the NBA talk isn't only in General NBA - we have the team forums, we have Misc Basketball, we have the draft prospects, all those things add up and It's probably more than Off-topic.I just added it all up...we've got 92,255 posts about basketball...that's double the off-topic posts combined.

People are going to post where they want to, what's the problem if they want to post in OT? I don't understand why Tony has a problem with this.
