I know it's early and we typically start off slowly, but we just seem like we're missing any sort of urgency in ALL aspects of the team. In the defensive zone we look slow and confused. Offensively we are afraid to take shots. PK looks good so far. PP is the same shit show it has been for the past decade it seems like.

Jesus Christ this PP. I don't care about Glass or Boyle being on this team. I care more about the fact that Arneil is CONSTANTLY given a pass by this franchise and still has a job.

This team is just so flat. Have been flat outside of the first three games. After those games this team has played with ZERO emotion and has seemingly just been going through the motions and not actually doing anything worthwhile. It's a shame because Hank has been playing great and he usually starts off slow. Instead we are wasting good Hank and can't figure out our ass from our elbow.

Completely agree with you, they spent more time in their own zone on the two pp's. Defensively they look lethargic at best and offensively they are taking weak outside shots. But in all seriousness arniel must go, and someone like Adam oats should be gotten. Frustrating watching them skate like they are in preseason.

I get that it's early, so I'm not trying to sound the panic button or anything like that, but we just look....bleh. It's like something is missing from this team. And I think it's heart and balls. No one on this team, besides Zucc, seems willing to do what is needed to score goals and make plays. Everyone stays to the outside. Takes weak shots. Is afraid to take a hit to make a play (this has been Staal's M.O. his entire career). Crash the net. Screen the goalie. Win a board battle. All of these things which were strengths the entire season last year these guys seem like they're too prissy and above doing this year so far and that's why we're struggling so much.

At least Raanta looks good, not having a decent pp let alone one that could support the offense when they aren't getting it done 5v5 kills the moment they have during a game. You can almost feel the energy of the arena disperse when they get a pp.

Once again an awful team in the puckhandling/accuracy dept.

They're just slow to EVERY puck and they don't go to the puck. They wait for the puck to get to them, which allows forecheck pressure because you're sitting there waiting for the puck to get to you instead of going and getting it. It's just laziness. And it has nothing to do with today being a back to back. This is an every game issue.

It was a great play, but then right away they're backpedalling and allowing Calgary to dictate the flow of play and keep tilting the ice. They need some sustained pressure, not this one shot and out stuff.

I know, they look like a team that played yesterday. Why Boyle is in the lineup I have no clue, he is totally ineffective.

It has nothing to do with playing yesterday, because as you saw more and more, the Rangers were able to tilt the ice back. They just need to keep pushing back. They seem to shrink when they get pushed the last week or so. Need to turn that around. Boyle is 100% useless. He's now the new Glass.

This board is laughable sometimes. Team is 5-2-2 and leading tonight, and game after game we get the same posts. As if we need to finish 1st or else the world ends. Guess what...we may not finish 1st this season and that is FINE. We might be up and down this season after all the hockey we have played the past few seasons...and that is FINE.

    We all need to chill.

Dougie Hamilton doesn't seem to be working out well so far for Calgary. 4-1 some what lucky tonight as they were out played the first two periods.

The sky is falling the sky is falling. And in other news the team is now 6-2-2...LOL.
