Aminu (Hamstring) Unsure About His Status For Season Opener http://forwardcenter.net/aminu-hamstring-unsure-about-his-status-for-season-opener/
Aminu is really good defender with his offense still has work to do. But overall he will help Blazer win some games. But he needs not rush back because hammy are tricky.
I love this quote. Seeing the game from a bird's eye view? That makes me excited to see his defense this coming season. Can't wait!
This reminds me of Travis Outlaw. But Outlaw was not bright enough to understand this. Therefore, maybe Aminu is an intelligent Outlaw?
Catfish could snatch quarters of the top of the backboard. Aminu isn't nearly as athletic. Plus, their games are nothing alike.
Yep, back in the Roy era, TO was the only other Blazer that could create his own shot at will - and it was pretty much always a one dribble pull up jumper he could get off against anyone in the league due to the elevation he got. Given all his athleticism, he was a pretty piss pour defender and an equally piss poor rebounder. He really was a one trick pony. Aminu can guard four positions and is an excellent rebounder, but can't create (or reliably make) his own shot. BNM
As I recall, coaches gave him the assignment to work on that move, and he spent an entire summer in a gym back home doing exactly that. Hey, it paid the bills.
It wasn't just a summer; took him 3 years of work to learn that move. Amazing we won 54 games with him as our third leading scorer.
