I think its great that he wanted to send a message & yes I'd love to see the Yankees do it but I think you've got to keep those messages below the letters.

...I don't his message really had the desired effect....Noah faced 17 more batters before he struck another one out.

...did KC score a ton of runs?...No, but I don't think it was because they were intimidated at all by that first pitch.

Funny thing is if Ventura had hit someone then Met fans would've thrown a fit.

Perhaps the message benefited his teammates?

The Vikings were taken out by Charlemagne not once, but twice; and made their Valahalla, His own Home......!!!

Fact check that one. Danish defences held even into the 19th century. Now if you mean he repulsed Viking raids on Paris, sure....but they gave more than they got.

The only thing that beat the Vikings was the eventual spread of christianity and the formalization of the states of Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

...nah, I think Syndergaard's own bat in the bottom of the 3rd fueled the come back...not his pitching...he was by no means dominating.

Yep. and 6K in 6 IP (3R) isn't bad, kept the Royals off the board 3-6th innings.

Actually, I was talking about the 5th-6th Century and with NO disrespect to the Norse. MY Grandmother was Dutch/Norwegian......the only non-Canuck blood in my genetics.....:cool2:

Charlemagne was indeed the "father of Europe", but I don't see any evidence of his Empire getting beyond Denmark. Vikings never waged any prolonged engagements. More of the " island hopping marines".

Yep, your actually correct (as usual), I was more or less trying to bust yer chops, and I meant the 8th to 9th Centuries, as Charlie died in 814, and did not really get far if at all, beyond Denmark........

Have you ever noticed, just how many people with French or Canadien French names are in fact related descendants of/to Charlemagne...?
