No Problem, just one major issue. Every time, Every time we play with just one creative guard (either Dame or CJ, when the other one sits) we get behind in the scoring. If you check the box-score our entire bench has a minus rating because when Lillard and CJ play together it is mostly with the starting unit. Tim Frazier gets a DNP Coach's decision every fucking game and I don't mean to be condescending but I think the problem is not with Tim Frazier but with the coach or at least with his desicions. Stotts has improved but I'm getting tired of having to make this lectures to him when he's getting the fucking pay-check and I'm sitting in front of a computer. He doesn't have to pay me dividends I just hate it when we're losing ground because the coach is not smart enough to know this for himself and doesn't have the balls to take advice. So yes, the next game, pay attention to it. Every time we play just one of CJ or Dame we get behind and every game Frazier gets a DNP Coach's decision and I realize he's not gonna change his mind just because I called him out on it but if it doesn't change because he understand It's the right thing to do he doesn't deserve a head coaching position, not on my team.
The problem is that CJ isn't a point guard, but he's being played as the backup point guard. CJ looks to shoot 99% of the time.
I tend to agree with you. I'd like to see Frazier being Dame's primary backup, and CJ playing starters minutes off the bench. Problem is, we don't really have anyone who can start at the two and be that "creative guard" presence alongside Dame.
We can start Dame and CJ then rotate Frazier when either sits. Dame and CJ is still our best backcourt tendem but Frazier should be the other player in this rotation, not Crabbe. Crabbe should play most if not all of his minutes at SF
I don't know Henderson much but I think a smaller backcourt is what we need at least for now. It gives us creativity, fire-power, floor managing. I think both CJ and Dame are combo-guards, playing just one of them with someone like Crabbe who's a 2-3 isn't enough.
Frazier is terrible and has no chance of having a long term future. Will CJ? Who knows, but we'll learn more by playing him.
How is Frazier terrible, can you elaborate? and I didn't say anything about giving CJ less playing time, although I Would like him to play a bit less to keep him healthy for the playoffs.
This is a good topic and I go back and forth on it. I said early and often that CJ is a SG not a PG and they should not play him there. Let him concentrate on what he does best and that is score. We need that from him. Here is the dilemma...... Stotts knows what he has in Henderson and that Hendo will need minutes at SG, so for it too work CJ, who is actually playing the point much better than I thought he would, has to play some point. And I think matched with Henderson, the back up back court will be much better. I agree that Crabbe needs to play strictly SF when Henderson comes back. He is our utility player at the 2/3. Big strip at the end of the game last night. He needs minutes as does Harkless. And even though Aminu will get minutes at the 3/4, SF minutes will be tough for Crabbe and Harkless. But you know injuries will occur, so it will play out during the season. BTW I loved how they tried to post up Wiggins late in the game on CJ but CJ stripped him. Yes he had help with Wiggins, but that was my point all along, he usually will. CJ can defend the 2's just as well as most guards, but on the nights where it is just a bad match up......we will have other options with Crabbe and Henderson and even Aminu.
They kept trying to make Jamal Crawford into a point guard as well. They just don't have the right mindset for it.
My only problem with Stotts is that he doesn't do what I want. I keep telling him what to do, but he doesn't do it. I mean, he reads the board, right?
