That's straight up bullshit. The GOP can suck my dick. They're 90 percent responsible for this crap.

I'm the type of sucker they love, if I voted. They'll pander to people who think like me the whole time they are taking money from giant corporations that fleece us all.

To anyone who says avoid shopping during that time, we do. With Halloween and eating a bit worse we decided to get up and climb the mountains behind our house. Didn't dawn on us until it was too late. If we'd have just went shopping before 9 or so we'd have missed them because they sleep in.

I just want it like Oregon at least where they spread it out. I still prefer they do it on a Monday so I can feel free to use one of my hopefully two days off to get some errands done.

Hey, at least the suckers buying pizza pockets and chips and soda don't have to work. They're the smart ones I suppose.

I noticed one woman buying raw foods while we were there. If you don't guess Hispanic you're not paying attention.

The corporations are smart, they give them free money and then sell them gruel packaged as premade food and get the money right back.

Have you ever stopped eating processed foods and then tried to eat a Hot Pocket? I have and it's amazing what you realize when you do.

You don't really know what you talking about. Most people that get food stamps work. Those that don't are either children or old people. People that get welfare are eligible. Not the lazy "welfare queens" that Reagan created.

No offense, but your opinion on the matter is no more truer than Bodyman's. Ha ha ha . . . I love how you call him full of shit and then pronounce to the board that you know absolutely what people on food stamps do, but use words like "most", while attributing things to Reagan, LOL.

I've seen first hand what food stamps looks like as a cashier at a grocery store for a few years. It's definitely eye opening

I never said this... these are your words...

Reagan is the one who coined the word "Welfare Queen". This is what I'm talking about. Welfare fraud is basically nonexistent.

And, it's true. Most people on food stamps have jobs. See Wal-Mart employees.

    http://www.hungercoalition.org/food-stamp-myths

Myth #1: People who get SNAP don’t work.
FACT: The overwhelming majority of SNAP recipients who can work do so. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, "Among SNAP households with at least one working-age, non-disabled adult, more than half work while receiving SNAP—and more than 80 percent work in the year prior to or the year after receiving SNAP. The rates are even higher for families with children—more than 60 percent work while receiving SNAP, and almost 90 percent work in the prior or subsequent year."

What's more, many SNAP participants aren't physically able to work. About 20 percent of SNAP participants are elderly or have a disability, according to the USDA.

Myth #2: SNAP is a drain on taxpayers.
FACT: Every $1 in SNAP benefits generates $1.73 in economic activity, according to Moody's economist Mark Zandi. SNAP not only helps low-income people buy groceries, it frees up cash for other expenses, such as medical care, clothing, home repairs and childcare. That benefits local businesses and their employees, which boosts the economy as a whole.

Myth #3: SNAP is rife with fraud and abuse.
FACT: “SNAP has one of the most rigorous quality control systems of any public benefit program,” according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. SNAP fraud has actually been cut by three-quarters over the past 15 years, and the program’s error rate is at an all-time low of less than 3 percent. The introduction of EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cards has dramatically reduced consumer fraud. According to the USDA, the small amount of fraud that continues is usually on the part of retailers, not consumers.

Myth #4: SNAP benefits go to undocumented immigrants.
FACT: Undocumented immigrants have never been eligible for SNAP. Documented immigrants can only get food stamps if they've lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with exceptions for refugees, asylees and children). In fact, immigrants are far less likely to apply for food stamps because they worry about jeopardizing their immigration status and because the application process is especially daunting for non-English speakers.

Important: SNAP is a nutrition program run by the USDA and is not considered a welfare program. Receiving SNAP benefits will not affect a documented immigrant’s immigration status or any effort to gain U.S. citizenship.

Myth #5: Hunger isn't a problem in my community.
FACT: More than 658,000 people in the five-county region get SNAP, a 56 percent increase since the start of the recession. See the most recent figures on SNAP participation in Pennsylvania.

Myth #6: SNAP leads to unhealthy eating habits and obesity.
FACT: National studies show no significant link, positive or negative, between food stamps and healthy eating. Nor do they demonstrate a relationship between food stamps and weight gain.

The saddest part is that people that are either entirely out of the workforce or unemployed are an inevitability and and an aim of free market economics. A surplus of potential workers is necessary to better control wages and ensure profit. Then there are the realities that there just aren't enough jobs paying a living wage, that people aren't just tools of production and finance, and that people deprived of food will either riot, steal, or die. Having such qualms with food stamps is of a perverse mindset to say the least, because the alternate reality of a state without such welfare is starvation and chaos.

Yeah, too bad there aren't enough entrepreneurs to start business to hire workers.

Entrepreneurs are working to sell their shitty online business with no sustainable model to some other larger corporation... they don't need workers, they need unpaid interns.

This is crap because there are always entrepreneurs starting businesses that hire people. There's no conspiracy where companies are controlling wages as he suggests.

More bullshit. SNAP provides 1.73 for every dollar spent???? THEN GIVE ME SOME FUCKING MONEY THAT MAGICALLY CREATES MORE FREE MONEY FOR FREE. DID I MENTION IT MAKES FREE MONEY?

Working at WalMart or Starbucks 15 hours a week isn't having a job.

If I could get away with carrying a video camera with me and interviewing people about why they are buying junkfood with government money I would.

Since I can't, we can get back to the point. Why can't they release this free money on a Monday?

Oh yeah, one thing this reminds me of. Can we pass a law that makes old fucktards flip their scooter trailers back up off the ground when they go into a WalMart?

I saw a woman about break her neck last weekend because some old idiot left his black platform on the black pavement behind his brand new Explorer.

They need to put handicap spots at the back of the lot now, they all have scooters and electric chairs now anyway.
