For the last three years I thought Dame was on the same trajectory as Curry. Their numbers are pretty comparable. I'm not sure though if Dame can do what Curry is doing. I guess we'll see.
FTFY... Curry's playing like he's on a lower difficulty level than the rest of the league. That said, Curry only has 7 more made field goals than Dame after the same number of games.
1. Westbrook 2. Curry 3. Paul 4. Wall 5. Dame 6. Irving 7. Conley 8. Lowry 9. Teague 10. Bledsoe 11-30. Who cares
He is balling out of his mind and he still won't get you a near triple double, but yeah he can score with the best of em. Westbrook will assist, score in multiple ways, rebound, and defend. He is a complete player that is ultra athletic, fast and talented. Curry cant do all that. Curry is bbq chicken vs Westbrook.
I don't know what BB school this board attended. But Wall is pretty damn good, effective and his stats show it. Damian is a very talented, even gifted ball player, but his stats suck for PG. Look at last night, he lead his team in shots missed, shots attempted, Turn overs. A TO/assist ratio you don't want to know, and an A/M, if you did know would be a clear clue on how to set the defense for Portland. McCollum on the other hand had a good A/M of 1, especially for a SG. Portland won the game last night, but why? The question when the team only had 11 assists, that is bad in any book in any language. But then, they played a team that only had nine assists, and it has to be a joke that Utah was the best defensive team. The coach obviously never look at or even knows of Damian's A/M. That really should be a dead give away on how to defend Damian who has the ball all the time Portland is in possession. It has been a while now since coach Newell was around to teach fundamental stuff about basketball, perhaps the knowledge is even lost.
Wall is a true point guard in an era of few true point guards. Dame and CJ are both combo guards in the way AI, Jason Terry, Gilbert Arenas, etc. were. Dame's turnovers will come down as the season progresses imo, once the team gels the offense will be smoother and his assists numbers should rise. If at the end of the year Dame's stats were say 26 PPG/8APG/4RPG/3TOPG/2SPG on decent shooting like .460/.380/.880 would you be satisfied?
He is supposed to have 20 assists a game, don't you know? It's alright though, MarAzul is too busy shooing people off his lawn.
You have to remember that Washington's offense was ran through Wall and he has two great pick n roll bigs... Portlands offense was ran through LaMarsha isos. So the +4 in assists for Wall isn't from straight-up talent IMO.
The argument that I'd rather have is if CJ keeps playing the way he has, then where does he stand among SGs? Even if his numbers decline a little from the 23/4/3 he's posting (49/42/85 %s), I'd still think he's a top 10 SG, maybe higher.
1. Har_en 2. Butler 3. Thompson 4. Beal 5. Wade 6. DeRozan 7. CJ 8. Oladipo 9. K-Mart 10. Wiggins CURRENTLY
You only care about one statistic, and in today's NBA that one statistic isn't as important as it once was for a point guard.
Really! Well a good team does score assisted points. The league Champ had 28 last night, a good coach can put and offense out there to distribute the assisting. But some body needs to do it.
1. Lames Harden 2. Butler 3. Beal 4. Thompson 5. Wade 6. 3J McBuckets 7. Oladipo 8. DeRozan 9. Wiggins 10. KMart
Some of the greatest point guards at passing the ball.... Stockton, Nash, Payton, etc. how many rings do they have? Who was the point guard on the Jordan Bulls? Who was the point guard on the shaq Lakers? How many assists has tony Parker averaged every year? How many rings does he have? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
