I don't know if this deserves it's own thread but one guy I think Portland should target is McLemore. He's falling out of favor in Sacramento. He would a great fit in Stotts system. Such a good athlete and shooter, who's almost afraid to shoot and make a mistake in sac. He needs to be freed and I can't help but think it could be something Olshey could/should jump on. I don't know what it would take but Neil can figure it out lol.

    Huge downgrade from CJ.

Came into the draft as a shooter - even compared to Ray Allen. So far he's been anything but - career 34% from three.

The same age as Harkless and Harkless does everything better than Ben.

We need depth at the four and the five.

I didn't mean to replace cj. I meant to give us a 6th man who can play with CJ. Obviously you'd be banking on him playing better with a change of scenery..like harkless. I don't know I'm just thinking out loud because I've always liked McLemore and it could be an available asset.

I completely agree. Ben would not have a place on this team, in my opinion. I actually don't think we need more depth at the center position with Plums, Davis and Myers all able to to fill in there and bring different attributes to the table. I think adding another PF who can score from the post with his back to the basket would be my first choice of an addition. That is the one thing we are sorely lacking. It would be nice to throw the ball into the post as a change of pace every once in a while to take advantage of a mismatch and to keep the opponent guessing as to what we are going to throw at them next. Also, is it just me, or does it seem like Harkless could possibly fill in some backup SG minutes? He seems agile and fluid enough..... Just a thought.

Not a bad call in my book.

But Harkless is a forward. In the event that one of Hendo or Connaughton doesn't pan out, McLemore doesn't seem like a bad choice to back up CJ. I don't know salaries so it might not work anyway.

We already have CJ, Henderson, and Crabbe. No need for McLemore.

What about Sully in Boston? Don't know much about his game, but I think he would be a good fit.

I would take McLemore over two of them.

You don't mention Crabbe, and he's who McLemore may be better than. Crabbe also shoots 34% from three on his career. McLemore is also a year younger so I think it's fair to say he has more potential than Crabbe.

Could that PF be Cliff Alexander? I never saw him play in college, so I don't know his skill set.

That's a really good call. However, weren't there questions about his knees?

Edit: never mind, it was his back that was red flagged on draft day.

We have all this cap space, but I don't see many good targets.

Cap space is also good for lopsided trades. If the Kings still continue to flounder, DeMarcus Cousins could be a target.

Take a look at the "all he does is dunk" thread. There's lots of good in there. I will say however I believe he has no back to the basket game. I certainly haven't seen it.

Its about collecting assets as Neil has done, Hendo is likely gone after this year with CJ here, get a young guy (22) who still has a chance to improve and we can keep for a few more years on the cheap. Frankly Crabbe is meh IMO. I'd trade Hendo for Ben

He isn't known for his back to the basket game, but if you watch the video of him against Okafor in highschool, you will see a couple of Zbo esque moves against Okafor. But yeah, it is something that he will probably have to work on significantly if he wants to use it at this level.

If we could get him for Hendo or Crabbe, I'd go for it.
