The Yankees may try to move Beltran to an AL Team looking for a DH. Also mentioned was a need for a 2nd baseman. Beltran was overall best hitter from May forward even though shaky in the field. No mention of Refsnyder in this mix. Also mentioned was that the Yankees would probably have to eat some of Beltrans salary. With Cashman in there I'm wondering how this scenario goes down if in fact it does.
I'd like to see Refsnyder get a fair shot but it wouldn't surprise me is Cashman goes after someone like Zobrist. Remember boys & girls, you heard it here first.
I don't get it, what do the Yanx have against Ref...??? But, I would like to see Beltran go, even tho' he had the hottest batting avg., of all Yanx. I never cared for the Beltran signing to begin with....!!
Indeed, I did "hear it here first"..... from Rick's Crystal Ball, btw- Rick My Crystal ball got cracked. I made the mistake of going to Anaheim to see the Yanx on the road, and wound up throwing it at Drew.......!
Murti mentioned the Yankees inflexibility in many positions. As I see it the HUGE problem is A-hole. They can't move him, if they could that would make Tex & Bird natural 1st base DH flip floppers. There were 4 listed destination for Beltran, Baltimore, Detroit among them. And I'm in agreement with Refsnyder, as John Lee Hooker once sand "let that boy Boogie Woogie" . Zobrist is a fine player but he's 34 or 35 after the season begins. Again, shaky stuff with Trashman running the show.
Order in tbe courtroom 'cause Here come the Judge! And on days when Murphy is catching....the Yanks can/should potentially have 5 young inexpensive players on the field along with Refsnyder at 2b, Bird on 1b, Judge in RF and toss in Gregorius SS, who was acquired by dealing a minor league product and all of a sudden the Yanks are a much younger team. I guess we'll just have to tolerate Arod for another year or two as long as he stays healthy and produces better than the large majority of other "full time" DHs as he did in 2015. Dare I say the plan is beginning to materialize on the field? Yep, as we all know...the Yanks DO have a farm system and like the other teams....they also can "go with their kids". Yanks still lagging in developing one or two top notch homegrown SP. We'll keep an eye on their 2015 first rounder James Kaprielian down the road.
Nah.....it'll be more of the same....Yanks will never make the playoffs as long as Cashman is the GM and the Steinbrenners own the team. Ain't that right?
Don't listen to 59, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Cashman has a plan & the Stienbrenners will continue there fathers legacy & tradition of giving us the best chances to win as possible. With the team we have now there's no reason why we can't win 110 games next season, breeze through the playoffs and capture WS #28. These so-called Yankee experts on this board just don't get it.
...that damned ever changing plan exposed me again. ...I just hate it when Rick curb stomps me like that...once, just once, I wish he'd agree with something I say.
And forfeit more draft picks after signing free agents, and raise the payroll, trade top prospects .....umm....and get stuck with aging veterans with long term contracts clogging up the team with limited flexibility and options for the manager? The voices of reason. If we want to learn how to talk out of both sides of our mouths, this is the right place.
...getting stuck with aging veterans with long term contracts clogging up the team with limited flexibility and options for the manager is Cashman's MO. ...Rick, please agree with me for once.
What the Yankees have against Refsnyder is "Smoke-up- their-false-inspiring-asses"........in other words, it's called superior Yankee confidence.......Like Zobrist gives them a solid second baseman! HA!
I see Rick is being impossible to work with, still......after all these years.....He can't agree with anyone....~~!!
I'll do my part bashing away if the Yanks do not give Refsnyder every opportunity to at least show them he CAN'T do the job. I think they will....unless, they somehow land a better more established 2b option from now until opening day. (without getting mugged in exchange). He has given every indication he can hit in every chance he has gotten, so far. Minors and Yanks. I welcome all opinions on the following matter: Where does the buck stop as far as making the final decision coming out of ST whether or not Refsnyder makes the club? Example- Refsnyder has a mediocre type ST with the bat and also struggles a little bit defensively. Is it Girardi? Or, should (does) Cashman send the message he wants Ref on the team?
You guys just can't deal with the fact that BLG & I are right & you know it alls are wrong. Oh & before I forget..............................................................................................LOL.
