“The idea behind the personal freedom sub-index is that freedom constitutes a part of your own individual well-being, but it’s also an important component of national prosperity,” Gamester said. “Some of the things that we measure in that category include tolerance for ethnic minorities and immigrants. We look at people’s satisfaction with their freedom of choice and their civil liberties as well.” Here are the top 10 countries for personal freedom: 1. Canada 2. New Zealand 3. Norway 4. Luxembourg 5. Iceland 6. Ireland 7. Sweden 8. Denmark 9. Australia 10. Uruguay The United States ranked 15th worldwide. http://news.yahoo.com/canada-ranks-...l-freedom-and-social-tolerance-211723934.html
Personal Freedom of a country's citizens is not measured by state-enforced tolerance toward toward immigrants or other ethnicities. That is facism. Really funny that they picked the whitest countries in the world, none who are open to mass immigration. The US is unmatched in personal freedom, both to it's citizens and it's illegal squatters.
Exactly this!!! There isn't a country on this planet that legally allows more immigrants than the USA. Denmark, for example, is one of the most strict with immigration.
I think Canadians are some of the nicest and most personable people I gave ever met. But they are also some of the most easily butt hurt..... Harold Reynolds made a joke, folks. Don't take it personal. And if Family Guy one liners offend you, you didn't realize the show sucks to begin with!
Canadians certainly haven't felt like winners for the last decade. Somewhat related- this story has been making headlines up here for a few weeks. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...s-asylum-in-canada-over-police-brutality.html
