    Trashman should be fired!
And it's plain to see the Yanks would be better off if the Steins sold the team.
Then we can get back to winning championships.

This is why posters here think you're slightly tapped in the head, what the hell does this have to do with Jeter wanting to own a team while Torre & Rivera have never mentioned it?

In reality Cashman along with Torre should have been canned after that 2004 debacle. I was shocked that Big George took no action in that direction, the Yankees have not been the same since. In the case of Cashman to this day I consider him dangerous in his assigned/implied tasks and the Steinbrenner Tadpoles dipped in stupidity for keeping him on.

I wouldn't have lost any sleep if the Boss fired Torre and Cashman after the 2004 ALCS but in hindsight maybe it was better NOT to fire Torre afterwards - why give Redsox fans and Yankee haters more satisfaction and laughs at the expense of the guy (Torre) who WAS the face of, and the field general of those Championship Yankee teams (which did have previous success vs Boston).

...hmmm...so it would have been OK for The Boss to fire Cashman after 2004, but it's not OK for the young Steins to fire him 10 years later?...and people who have been complaining about Cashman for years including last year are called cry babies.

It's quite clear if you weren't so anxious to pick a fight with me and somehow try and prove a superior position/stance from you on the Cashman matter while also trying to highlight some kind of inconsistency from me. And while you're still here - I also did not say if I though it would've been the "right" move to make (at that time), if it was made.
I said I wouldn't have lost any sleep over it.
    You're wrong - twice!

It was just a comment on '5545's post, I wasn't the one who suggested it.

    ... "picking a fight"?...wow.

...so you saying that you "would not lose sleep" over firing Cashman is not the same thing as saying it would have been OK?

...if you say so... nice backtracking.

lol.....its there for everyone to see.
    You are a cute one.
Because I wouldn't have been surprised and would've understood one of George's classic over-reactive impulsive maneuvers by dumping Torre AND Cashman after the 2004 ALCS you somehow think I'm contradicting myself regarding Cashman.

Any visitor to this board who doesn't have an axe to grind with me and doesn't have their nose up your butt, and was familiar with classic George can clearly see and understand my line of thinking from posts 24-27 and can also clearly see you tried to make more of it than it was.

You should've just dropped it after my post (#27) but you just couldn't walk away....once again you just needed to be "right", and me "wrong".

    Let's move on shall we?

...move on to what?..."axe to grind" ?..."picking a fight"?...yeah, if you say so.

...try choosing your words a little more wisely, and don't cry foul when someone points out your hypocrisy.

...and I'm sure that one of the other "monkeys" will agree.
