We debated this last night on the podcast, but @dasage and myself think the boos could rival how loud it was when Darius Miles returned. Some will cheer, but I've got a feeling the boos will be LOUD. Also, I really hope there is no 90-second tribute for a player who willingly took less money to leave ... that's not even taking into consideration how he pretty much held this franchise hostage by not committing and the team having to deal with the constant rumors of his unhappiness.
Dear Rip City, Thank you! Those two words on a page don't begin to express the gratitude I have for the opportunity the entire Trail Blazers organization, my teammates, the media, and you fans gave me. The past nine years have been a blessing, and I will take all of the valuable memories with me as I head back home. As I'm sure you can respect, my decision was a very personal one but not one I took lightly. Although I will be wearing a different uniform the next time I come back to Portland, please know that I will always hold my time in a Blazers uniform near and dear to my heart. Your friend, LA
Making that shit italizied doesn't make it nicer. It deserves to be on printed paper. So I can burn it. And throw it on an aldridge jersey.
Take it from someone who learned the hard way as a long time youth baseball and basketball coach...Soccer Moms are some of the most mean spirited and vicious creatures on earth when they think they or their progeny have been wronged. That said, I hope they tear LA apart limb from limb.....and not just vocally....
We must gather the hipsters... with an army of bag pipes, accordions, bongo drums, and didgeridoos, we shall play outside the Spurs' hotel room all night long. LaMarcus won't get a wink of sleep!
