Absolutely not! He choked on an election that was his to lose. I would rather have any of the field, other than Carly and Carson, than Romney.
Mags, do you (and I'm using you as a proxy for everyone who says to send the illegals back) think this is actually possible? How would you round everyone up? Get them across the border? Even if you can, aren't you going to create a group of millions of people who are all upset with the US right next to our border? I would think with the constant worry of terrorism it wouldn't be great to have an angry mob at our doorstep. Also, logistics aside, don't you think it's cruel to take parents away from their kids? I know they came here illegally, but isn't ripping a family apart as least as bad as what they did?
There is a break down with how you can do it. 1.) build the wall to avoid new illegals 2.) make it a felony for any business that is caught hiring illegal (already a federal law that isn't enforced) 3.) Take away ALL welfare programs for illegals 4.) ship out every illegal that has committed a crime or in Prison. 5.) set up a program to expedite the citizenship of existing illegals. 6.) remove all sanctuary city funding When the welfare and jobs are gone, they will leave on their own.

No, the starting point is getting them out. Once you take away their entitlements and jobs, they will leave on their own.
OK, I'd be for all that. But jsut to be clear, this means no shipping out everyone and having them come back through proper channels? Isn't step 5 just amnesty with more paperwork? I'm all for it and think it's the only realistic option but I'm surprised to see you say that.
