I hope this comes out...... I've got a feeling that a lot of Yankee fans are going to use this as there page photo.
I've heard one of the terrorists was one of those Syrian refugees...our administration wants to bring in 10k of them with eyes on 250K eventually. Many, most dont have a legitimate ID and no record from where they came from. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to surmise there could easily be a few enemy "agents" planted amoung them...yet we have "educated" leaders who can hardly wait to open the doors and drop them right in the middle of small town USA as well as our big cities. WTF is this infatuation with clamoring to get all of these uneducated culturally at odds people into our country? There's plenty of room in their native areas of the world and a few countries WITH MONEY and resources and are very similar in many ways (not to mention climate, oops, just did) who can put them up and take care of them....and those people won't even have to travel thousands of miles... Things are a bit different in our country and the world from 100-150 years ago....my gosh, WTF is going on? INSANITY!
Someone posted a great locker room shot on face book of Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio & Derek Jeter. that I wasn't able to copy & paste. I'm going to contact Steve to see if he can do it.
Great picture- fabulous all time greats but where's Yogi...and also the the great Bill Dickey who also worked with and helped Yogi as a young catcher. And, I always like to remember and mention others who "helped" and played big roles in many Yankee Championship teams. Allie Reynolds, Ron Guidry, Thurm, Mariano, Joe Page, Whitey Ford, Pettitte and couple others.
That's the way I saw it. But something tells me that with this ownership Jeter will never see a monument.
Wow, I love this Pic, Rick, outstanding painting........WOW...!!! Rick, I will see if I can copy this very nice clubhouse Pic, and hopefully fix the pixels, to show a clear defined Pic, and If I can, I will include this great pic, with the other 2 pics of the Yanx Yearbooks, that I'm in the process of sending to you: (which have those other 2 great pics). I've reproduced both, and am only waiting for a bit of help to lift boxes, to get to the cards I'm looking for. A major venture it tis-......... I mean these 2 pics. I know the board has already seen these 2, but what the hell, lets add a gallery for this museum.....
...sadly, unless the Steins suddenly come to their senses, I don't see much changing with this franchise until there's also a change in ownership...and that may not happen till the Yanx hit rock bottom and the fans quit going to games and the Steins start losing money. ...but unfortunately for us, we will also have to endure some lean times until the change comes.
Liked that 5 player picture very much, reminds me of Norman Rockwell style when the man was at his peak. Those 27 Championships are slowly fading out of sight.
Dont hold your breath. And I'll be willing to bet you aren't going to see too many "lean times". Lol, Yanks appear to have a couple/few good young players and prospects...AND will have a TON of money off the books by the end of 2017. Looks like a plan to me. Yanks can probably gobble up a "good" free agent if they wish...at THEIR price..as we speak, and drop it in the bucket going forward from this season. I'll try and sound cautiously optimistic by saying, the "Yanks" are going to be alive and well in the next few years.
Please explain why: "something tells me that with this ownership Jeter will never see a monument" Or, why WOULDN'T THE STEINBRENNER ownership honor Jeter with a monument? Do you believe it is due to incompetetence or some type of personal friction between "OWNERSHIP" and Jeter? Maybe Cashman told them not to? Lol
