LT has been doing amazing. He is a touchdown machine, and you can't deny his talent. He has enough in him to become the greatest ever if he can keep this up. The only competition I think he will have is Barry Sanders. But it's tough. Barry Sanders was a legend.http://youtube.com/watch?v=8XNEMloAZ7A watch that and tell me he's overrated. So yeah. Discuss!!

LaDainian Tomlinson already has more touchdowns and needs 6,000 more yards to top him. I think Tomlinson is the better all-around RB, he's a better blocker and pass catching...But honestly, I think Sanders is the better runner, my lord he was special runner. I found a YouTube clip of him. What vision, wow, he could stop and start on a dime. I remember watching him kill the Packers when I was kid, he was probably the best RB of all-time. http://youtube.com/watch?v=8XNEMloAZ7A If LT shatters Barry's statistics Barry supporters will say that he played fewer seasons...etc...Debating hall of fame runningbacks is difficult and the debates will go on forever with Peyton/Brown...etc...

I just judge it as undetermined... I find that annoying as well but I'll live with it.

Barry was amazing but if LaDanian keeps going like he's going he will be the best. I think in a debate overall yards and TD's won't matter since Tomlinson will play longer, but how he did every season. Yards per season, overall yards per carry, TD's per season as well as blocking and recieving skills.

Bottom line for me, Tomlinson will never be the runner Barry was, but Tomlinson is a better reciever/blocker.

The only thing that LT doesn't have on Barry is the flashiness, and some of the stop-on-a-dime moves. He's better then Barry at alot of the other things in football

I think he will become the best overall running back which is more than just running. [IMG]

No he will not. Barry Sanders was the better runner, Tomlinson can block better and receive better, but nobody could stop Barry in the open field. Barry also singlehandedly took the Lions to the playoffs. The talent on that team was horrendous and they haven't been good since he left. Without him they are one of the worst teams in the league. Nobody could stop Barry ever and I think LT could maybe become a top 3 runner.Right now for me it is:1) Barry Sanders2) Jim Brown3) Walter Payton

I think it was Barry Sanders who never got a receiving TD. He was just a pure runner and like BCB said, no one will top him in a long time. But LT can score, receive, and pass [yes pass] better.

Yeah, I wouldn't put him in the top 2 yet, now way. He had one amazing season, this is about when he retires. He is definitely not there yet.

Because LT does more. He's turning the RB position into a receiving game as well as rushing. Also, it's my list, so it has my bias and sentiments.
